Default rude coworker stealing the stage! LONG RANT!

OK, I have a bit of a dilemma.

One of my coworkers is an amazing dancer and I am constantly in awe of her. Most of the girls love her, either from fear or because she's nice to some of them in return for favors.

Tonight, we shared a stage set together and I have never seen such a bitch! There are two poles on the stage, about 8 feet apart. I pole dance, as does she, but she, admittedly, is a thousand times better than me and makes ALL her money off the stage sets because of her pole tricks. She doesn't do many table dances or private dances. But she BANKS on stage.

Tonight, I was dancing for a custie, shaking my ass, doing my thing. She asks me to move over because she was going to do a trick. There are TWO POLES! Why use the one that is right next to me?

Anyway, I'm a nice girl, so I go over to the next custie, who puts down a few bucks. I start dancing for him and she AGAIN asks me to move because she doesn't want to "hurt me!" I move again, to the next custie, wondering what trick she is going to do. Instead, she just stands there, holding onto the pole, shaking her ass.

My custie is wiped clean of bills and gets up from the tipping rail. She is over near the other two custies and getting her money off them.

I go up the other pole - the one she wasn't using - and prepare to do a trick. She climbs up her pole, and, at the top, tells me to GET DOWN OFF MY POLE because she needed it for a trick!!! So I, being the overbearingly nice person I am, slid down the pole, doing no tricks, because I'm scared of her actually doing something crazy and missing.

All she does is extend her body fully out from her pole so the tips of her shoes touch the other pole that I was on. By this time, customers are hooting and hollaring at her and throwing bills at the stage, but no one is at the tipping rail. They just walk by, throw down a few dollars, and leave.

I made $8 off the stage set. I couldn't do one pole trick, and the entire time, she was forcing me into the corner, to dance for the few people who would be willing to stand where there aren't any chairs.

Afterwards, I'm putting my money upstairs in my locker and she comes up to me and says "I can't work on the stage with you anymore. You almost got us hurt!"

Then, to add to the bitchiness, she tells me that it's bad to dance drunk. I am not a drunk. I never drink on the job. I had ONE SHOT of vodka BEFORE my shift and this occurred about 4 or 5 hours into my shift! I was sober 100%! She explains that she knows I am drunk because I can't hear her and had to ask her to repeat herself on stage. When I explain that I am almost 100% deaf in my right ear, she told me it was just temporary because alcohol makes me deaf. Then, to add insult to injury, she brags about the $70 she just made off her stage set!

WHAT THE FUCK. All I did was mind my own business and get out of the way when she asked! I felt like she was just stealing the stage and wanted nothing to do with me. I told management about it and they talked to her about pole safety and about sharing the stage. Evidently this isn't the first time it has happened, so management actually sent her home early as a punishment, because, according to some of the other girls, this is the 5th or 6th time that this has happened this month.

I'm kind of scared of a backlash though.

I had to get this rant out. Luckily, my next stage set, I left with $150, thanks to some bachelor parties that I had danced for between the sets.

UGH, so sorry this happened. I LITERALLY had a girl *squeeeeeze* in between me and a cust. WHILE I was doing a dance - a body slide in the middle of a dance. It was very forceful, the kind of "push" that, if it were in a regular club, would likely start a girl-fight. She then proceeded to sandwhich herself in between us and *POP* her nipple went into his mouth.

So I said to the cust: "Would you like me to keep going?", he said yeah, then I was like "Okay, tee-hee, then it's a double!", and proceeded to do 3 more songs. He paid for the ones before the girl and the 3 we did together, as well as a $50 tip, so I guess it sort of "paid" me not to be a bitch back, or to leave, or to get a manager because she was being a ho.

But damn.. I wanted to slap that bitch silly!

I would have just ignored her requests to move; but I'm spiteful. I guess the proper reply would be for me to tell you to try and pull her aside and tactfully have a talk with her lol, but I would have on stage just pretended I didn't hear her telling me to move, and if she kept asking/telling then I'd just pointedly ignore her.

I would have NEVER stopped doing what I was doing and get off the pole. That totally showed her dominance over you to everyone. Show that bitch up!

I kind of had something similar happen to me.

I was on side stage and it's REALLY small. The area were the ledge of the stage is shaped like a triangle. One side is the stares and the other two are so small unless you were best friends it would be WAY uncomfortable to have two people up at the rail tipping.

Well this other dancer that I don't know comes up and SIT'S on my stage. This only gives me like 2sqft to move. I ignore it becuase the less drama the better in my life and no one was tipping anyways. Even though I think thats RUDE as hell.

Then a guy does come up and is kindd standing away because it's too small for him to walk up to and I ask her, "hey, can you move" and piont to the guy with the dollar. She says something smart to me and moves a little. I wave for the guy to come here and he does and she STILL sits there and I kick her with my shoe on accedent, HELLO I'm like 6'4'' in a 2sqft area!! and she starts bitching to a friend who comes and they're looking at me bitching about something.

I just ignore it and go about my business but it was just incredibly rude. She wasn't even doing anything, and a free chair 2 feet away! Yelling at me from the floor is fucking stupid anyways. As if I'm scared? I could kick you in the face and knock you out before you could even get on the stage and kick my "bitch ass"...idiot.

Anyway, try to ask if you can NOT do stage with her. If she's so spectacular why doesn't the DJ just put her up alone?

Totally! That girl just likes to be in the limelight. So from now on, do no more stage sets with her. She is sabotaging your stage show so that she makes the most of her time. By her treating you the way she is on stage, it makes her look like she's better than you. Don't add onto the drama. Just avoid going on stage with her from this day forward.

I agree. Also, learn more pole tricks so she'll realize that she has competition. Besides, she was probably lying about the amount she really made.

I used to work with an attention starved bitch who was said to have a good stage show but I never watched because I didn't like her self absorbed attitude. Instead of just collecting her money and leaving the stage for the next performer to go up, she'd sit there and hold conversations with customers! She could have done that shit AFTER leaving the stage. When I was up after her, I marched right on up and didn't care if she got kicked. It got her ass out of the way.

She's just desperate because she doesn't make much $ when she's stage - maybe her hustling skills suck or something!

But regardless, that was pretty bitchy, and I'm glad you mentioned it to management. Just keep complaining each time she fucks with you (and tell other girls to do the same). Eventually they'll fire her if she doesn't shape up.
