OK, I have a bit of a dilemma.
One of my coworkers is an amazing dancer and I am constantly in awe of her. Most of the girls love her, either from fear or because she's nice to some of them in return for favors.
Tonight, we shared a stage set together and I have never seen such a bitch! There are two poles on the stage, about 8 feet apart. I pole dance, as does she, but she, admittedly, is a thousand times better than me and makes ALL her money off the stage sets because of her pole tricks. She doesn't do many table dances or private dances. But she BANKS on stage.
Tonight, I was dancing for a custie, shaking my ass, doing my thing. She asks me to move over because she was going to do a trick. There are TWO POLES! Why use the one that is right next to me?
Anyway, I'm a nice girl, so I go over to the next custie, who puts down a few bucks. I start dancing for him and she AGAIN asks me to move because she doesn't want to "hurt me!" I move again, to the next custie, wondering what trick she is going to do. Instead, she just stands there, holding onto the pole, shaking her ass.
My custie is wiped clean of bills and gets up from the tipping rail. She is over near the other two custies and getting her money off them.
I go up the other pole - the one she wasn't using - and prepare to do a trick. She climbs up her pole, and, at the top, tells me to GET DOWN OFF MY POLE because she needed it for a trick!!! So I, being the overbearingly nice person I am, slid down the pole, doing no tricks, because I'm scared of her actually doing something crazy and missing.
All she does is extend her body fully out from her pole so the tips of her shoes touch the other pole that I was on. By this time, customers are hooting and hollaring at her and throwing bills at the stage, but no one is at the tipping rail. They just walk by, throw down a few dollars, and leave.
I made $8 off the stage set. I couldn't do one pole trick, and the entire time, she was forcing me into the corner, to dance for the few people who would be willing to stand where there aren't any chairs.
Afterwards, I'm putting my money upstairs in my locker and she comes up to me and says "I can't work on the stage with you anymore. You almost got us hurt!"
Then, to add to the bitchiness, she tells me that it's bad to dance drunk. I am not a drunk. I never drink on the job. I had ONE SHOT of vodka BEFORE my shift and this occurred about 4 or 5 hours into my shift! I was sober 100%! She explains that she knows I am drunk because I can't hear her and had to ask her to repeat herself on stage. When I explain that I am almost 100% deaf in my right ear, she told me it was just temporary because alcohol makes me deaf. Then, to add insult to injury, she brags about the $70 she just made off her stage set!
WHAT THE FUCK. All I did was mind my own business and get out of the way when she asked! I felt like she was just stealing the stage and wanted nothing to do with me. I told management about it and they talked to her about pole safety and about sharing the stage. Evidently this isn't the first time it has happened, so management actually sent her home early as a punishment, because, according to some of the other girls, this is the 5th or 6th time that this has happened this month.
I'm kind of scared of a backlash though.
I had to get this rant out. Luckily, my next stage set, I left with $150, thanks to some bachelor parties that I had danced for between the sets.
