Default How to get more money out of feature dances

At my club, they run 4 feature dance specials a night. They are a 2-4-1 dance special, with something like a t-shirt, boxer shorts, hand towel with the club logo thrown in, that we get charged $15 for selling. The customer pays 30 dollars, we keep 15 and the club gets 15, so essentially we are doing each dance for 7.50.

How do I get the customer to tip me more for the dance?? It would be nice to get an extra 5-15 on top of the 30 so it took away the cost of paying out 4 features at the end of the night.

4 features= 120 dollars, paid out 60, did 8 dances for 60 dollars, usually 8 dances would be 160 dollars, club screws you out of 100 dollars!

Some girls just refuse to do features, but then you're on up stage doing the loser dance during that time so you can't hustle customers anyways really, and 15 for 2 dances really is better than nothing.

What do I tell the customer?? It's 30 dollars, but since I only get 15 of it, tips are always appreciated??

no, don't tell them that you only get $15 of it, try to keep the illusion that they are getting something for free(even though it's not really, since you have to pay the club for it) While your dancing the special and hustling for it keep the focus on the free dance, than add "oh and you get a free X too..." most men aren't interested in the free item, but they like the idea of a free dance. After your dance, *while making eye contact* say "Ok, it's $30 and tips are always appreciated", if they hesitate say, "c'mon sweetheart, I did give you an extra song for free...." then as they're walking away say "oh don't forget your free X" *giggle*, this leaves the guy on a positive note. Or after the 2 songs try to just keep him back there, and then get a tip on top of your total. good luck!

honestly...a lot of guys don't want the merch anyhow. i'd ask them if you can keep it, then return it and don't pay.

not the same as a tip, but twice as much money for you.

you should pm britneyireland. she works (worked?) at a club where there is constant merchandise selling, so she probably has good advice on how to make it work.

when i worked at a club with merch selling/feature dances, we just straight out said we didn't get all the money (it was 2 or 3/30, house got 10 or 15, don't remember which) so if a guy bought, he'd usually give 40 or 50. the spiel was something like 'most guys give us 10 or 20 extra, since we have to give the club 15'. and they generally would, surprisingly. or they'd go get a string of full price private dances following if they didn't tip.

all of this was with guys who bought, though. many didn't buy because a dancer could return the t-shirt/merch without paying if she worked the room for one song and brought it back to the doorguy. it was an ok but not great upsell tool.

I'd upsell during the feature thing, but I'm not sure if it'd work in your club. Lemme ask some Qs:

Do you have a CR/VIP area where you make more per song/per time?
Do you HAVE to sell a feature dance and what happens if you dont?
Do you have to pay for the t-shirt/boxers/whatever giveaway if you don't sell the dance?

    Love it!

    There is a VIP room ... I think it's 250/hr??? I don't know, I forget, I should probably ask someone.

During features, they announce it and we all go up on stage, cattle call style and hold the merchandise and dance around, then the DJ plays a song like "girls, girls girls", and we have one song to walk around and sell it. If we don't sell it, we have to go back up on stage during the time the special is going on and dance for 2 songs up there. If we don't go on stage, and just continue to walk around, the floorman doesn't put us on the list and we have to pay the 15 even if we didn't sell the dance.

she sells sanctuary- How would returning the merch after selling the dance work? especially if the floorman didn't put our name on the exempt list... it would still show up that we sold it... does it really work if you just take it back to the housemom and tell her the guy didn't want it? or do they still make you pay?

^ 300 last i remember, you keep 200. i hope they didn't go and drop that. unless a guy is tipping, it's not worth much, though. especially if they're still taking out the floorman's tip automatically. the first time that happened to me (and the only time, because it's why i left), i'd gotten the custy to tip the floorman like 50 bucks. and they go and take another 20 from me? fuck that!

i think they'd still make you pay. it didn't used to be like that. but now that you mention it, i think i remember someone saying something about it changing. i dunno. i'd try my luck. just cos it looks like he's writing doesn't mean he is.

OK, You should use this time to upsell to VIP. 250/hr is a LONG time, see if there's a half hour one instead. Here's what you do:

Sell the dance, and in the first minute to two minutes, when he's into it, you say, you know, I think we would have a MUCH better time in private... Let's go to VIP and I won't charge you for this dance. He will say, really? You say yeah, let's go! More than not, it works. It works ESPECIALLY well when there's a 3/100 area or a VIP lap dance area.

Now, as for the payment, you either can get him to pay your "fee" by asking for him to do so, but if he's cheap, you just EAT the fee. So long as you're making more money by eating it... Some clubs will actually see that you sold a CR/VIP instead and not make you pay out for the shirt.

If you're just asking for tips at the end, there's a lot of threads on asking for tips at the end of the dance, so that can help. Search out a few... like I just went through several pages of HH and found these:

    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...ip+after+dance

And i know I went over both the upsell (in detail) and the asking for tips in Helpful Things, stickied at the top. Good luck!

    Love it!
