    Getting Mold Out of Clothes?

Put my wet bathing suit in the dirty clothes basket and didn't do laundry soon enough ( I know I'm a moron ) one of my favortie white tanks has a little spot of mold on it. I've tried stain remover and even spraying vinegar on it - neither worked. Any one have any other ideas? I'm hating the idea of having to throw it away...

Re-wash it in hot water and then make sure to dry it really well.

    I hate that.

    that is a total bummer..

After being in Miami for a year I had way too many encounters with mold..

This california girl never figured out how to get that awful smell out of my towel, t-shirts etc. I ended up throwing most of it away when I moved back.

    Ok, sorry..*Steps off soapbox*

I am not sure..but I really feel your pain.

I did a google search, and came up with this:

A mixture of salt, vinegar, and water should remove mildew stains on most fabrics. Use up to full-strength vinegar if mildew is extensive.

From the responses it got back, this works great!

^^^ Awesome! That sounds even better.

And the trick to having clothes NOT smell like mold is to remove it from the dryer as soon as its done. If its still damp make sure it dries completely.

If its towels in a bathroom, it might be that the ventilation is not working properly (if there is an ventilation at all)

Okay...I'll res spray it with Vinegar....and then try to rewash it in hot water. if that doesn't work I'll try a little bleach...bleach just scares me cause I used it once and it tore holes in me clothes! yikes!

^^ Sorry CK I was in a hurry...I meant vinegar and salt. So guess bleach is my last option. Should I just put it in a spray bottle and lightly spray the spot?

Dilute the bleach by all means and wash off promptly within minutes. Use detergent to remove the bleach; repeat if necessary.

Once I used a powdered detergent and an oxy powder plus some Resolve. I worked the granules thoroughly in with a brush and watched a stain just go right out with no bleach. But it wasn't mildew.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
