Default Poll: If you were averaging x per week would you switch clubs?

I'm trying to figure out whether or not it's worth staying at my current club. The girls and staff are great, but my earnings have gone down by 300 for the past six weeks. Based solely on your monetary earnings and not including other factors like location, staff, etc. if you were averaging x dollars per week would you switch clubs? Also, how long have you been dancing?

well, yeah, but it depends on if I'd make more money at the other club and what I'd have to do to make it (i.e. mandatory shitty shifts, longer hours, mileage, other employees and dancer, etc.) The grass isn't always greener, you know?

i guess a better question is, what is the least amount of money that you would be satisfied with making per week in order to make staying at your current club worth while?

well, this assumes the money is better elsewhere. Sometimes that isn't the case and you're still not happy with what you're earning.

But I wouldn't work anywhere for $1000 per week unless I was working 1-2 nights per week. My weeks vary so much though because the number of nights I work does. I use shift averages to define my benchmarks, and then I will break it down even by hours.

Like I know I can make $1000 per shift in Atlantic City on a Saturday night. But it takes me 2 hours to drive there (and 2 back!) plus the shift is 10 hours. No thanks. I'll take $700 working 5 hour shift, closer to home.

First off, why do you see a decrease in your earnings? Less customers, more girls, extras?

At my first club, I wanted to stay so bad. Like you, the staff and girls were great. I didn't know "how much better" other clubs were until and surprised even myself with my earning potential.

But like Em said, the grass isn't always greener. I can't tell you when or if you should switch clubs..you'll know it when you start to give yourself excuses everytime it's time to go to work as to why you should skip tonight.

I can't really answer because my work schedule varies so much.. I also go on a shift by shift basis. It wouldn't hurt to check out other clubs to see if it will be better for you. I went to another club one night just for a change of pace and it was horrendous. The only way I would every completely leave my home club is if I moved really far away.

You will also need to factor in gas expenses if you do switch to a club that is farther away. For example, there are several clubs that are 25 minutes or so away from me but I wouldn't make shit even though it would cost me much less in gas. I will happily drive the hour to work and pay $10 more in gas each time I work to earn probably hundreds more.

This is based on exactly how many nights of work? (For me, if made a grand working two days a week, I'd be happy; however, making a grand worki g 5 days a week would not be so good and I would start considering working in other clubs).

There have been more girls working because the customers are hardly tipping or buying dances. It's not just my club, the other clubs in the area aren't doing very well either. The only girls that are making money right now, are the girls that have been at the clubs the longest.

I guess what I'm getting at is that most people have set a goal for themselves per week. If I'm not making at least $700 per week, I'm not happy. I typically work two to three days per week. If I don't make over $700 in three days, then I'll work more. However, the club has been really slow for the past two months now and more and more girls are working because hardly anyone is making money, so I'm thinking about switching clubs. Is $700 feasible for a small club in a city or should I just move to a larger club?

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. What makes you think the earning potential will be better at another club? And that it will be earned with the same level of work and bullshit?

If there are girls making much more than you at your club, perhaps it's not the club and you need to step up your game a bit?

It depends on where you are and what you have to put up with to earn that $$.If I could dance even 5 days a week here and make $1000 a week I'd do it in a heartbeat. But it was getting to the point where I was LUCKY to make $100 a night even if I was the best looking girl in the club(and thats saying something since I think I'm pretty hot in my own way,but I'm certainly not supermodel material or anything)and the most personable...and I had to put up with druggie drama, pimps in the club and guys literally trying to rape me,at least with their fingers,on a nightly basis.
Even WITH putting up with all that..I'd still do it if I could average $1000 a week.

So there are more factors then just money, therefore I didnt vote.

I voted less than 1000. Now if I only work one day I won't expect that. But generally I should be making 1500 a week.

If I don;t make 1000+ a week in my normal amount of shifts I'd try other clubs. Hell you can try another club any time.

the question/poll doesn't factor in the average for dancers in the city -or- the contact level, so it's hard to say.

for instance, i'm "happy with" making 200-300 per shift, but i know i can't make more unless i go to a higher contact club... which i won't do anymore. i'd like to making more, sure, but that's not possible (not consistantly anyway) in my area without doing a lot more.

Yea, I agree, it really does depend on how often/week you're working.

Based on my bills I clicked less than $500 per week. Even with some drama I like my current club alot and it would take me a huge money cut before I leave. Though it wouldn't take long if that happened for me to leave.

Uh Oh that is EXACTLY what I've been doing this weekend! Twice now I made up excuses not to go to work because I'm SO DONE with this fucking club. I was doing great (for a beginner) the first month but the month of July has been fucking hell.

I'm lucky if I get outa there with more than $100, and even more lucky if I don't feel completely violated in the process I don't understand why I'm doing so shitty now when last month I was bringing home at least 200 a night which is pretty good considering the local economy here.

I heard from other girls that the extras are getting so bad they had to block off a part of the couches area because people were just throwing condom wrappers on the floor And it also seems that the only girls making money are the ones who have been working there for years. (I don't know if they're the ones who do extras, non of my business, I just wish girls would at least do extras for more money, fuck, instead of the price of lapdances ) I understand a lot of us are desperate, though, so I can't say that I haven't felt that desperate either

As for the poll, I put less than 400 a week but I have only been averaging 2 day a week shifts because this club has been so mentally straining on me, and not I'm not even averaging 200 a night so FUCK, I feel kinda stuck because I have kinda a personal thing against Deja Vu, and I hear a slew of evil things about the manager of the other club in town... so I'm not even sure where to go... BLEH!! I'm going to stop typing my depressing post now lol

This is pretty much how I feel as well.

But with the hundreds of clubs within a 1.5-hour radius of my house, it'd be pretty stupid for me to not check out other clubs if I am not making a certain quota regularly. Especially if I made less than a G working more than 2 days a week.

So how do you know if a club is going to be better? What's a good way to gauge this?

^^ One thing I think counts is the location of the club. I read in a business book that businesses get most of their business from something like a 10 mile radius (I have a horrible memory of detail but you get the idea). SO- I'd imagine clubs closer to "richer" parts of town would be the first clue. My current club is in a bad part of town, and some people with money are even afraid to go there because of it's reputation lol.

That might be true for like a Home Depot, but strip clubs get a lot of their business from bachelor parties, out of town travelers, guys leaving the office who don't want to go home yet, sporting events, guys who don't WANT to be close to home, or their perception of the "best club."

^^ LOL that's true. I guess I feel it's more of an issue with my current club because it is in a part of town percieved as "bad," or "ghetto." Now in actuality I have no clue if that part of town is more dangerous than the next, but people definitely percieve it that way.

And I should mention that the regulars who come into my club are usually from the area, but they seem to spend a majority of their money at the bar. Of course I'm still new so regulars are probably still getting dances from "their" dancers.

I don't think anyone should be working in the ghetto. That doesn't attract rich men, regular men or smart men. It just attracts locals who probably don't have much to spend on entertainment if they are still living there.

I think the 10 mile radius isn't appropriate for clubs, as most people can tell when they enter a bad part of town and will travel to a nicer area if the closest club is in a bad area. Hell I drive to the farthest club from me, an hour away. I don't think traveling business men would want to be there alone and locals know better.

I agree. I can't see why a customer would choose a ghetto club over a non-ghetto club...unless they were ghetto. Not your target market.
