This is a bit of a long rant...
Sunday nights at my club are a bit quiet and you end up making all of your money off of just a few customers. It was getting later into the night and after my stage a guy called me over to him. We chatted for a bit then did a few songs, he paid me in cash, then we went up to the VIP and did $100 worth. We talked about the CR and he agreed for a half hour, so we went to the CR host. He needed to get money out of the ATM, but apparently there was something wrong with the dial up so it couldn't connect. He tried a few times with the host urging him on, that he's seen it go through on the third try. Four tries later, my customer asks if they can just run it as a credit card.
I was a bit annoyed about that because then I get funny money and the club takes out a portion of it, but I figured I would let it go. Well, they ran his card and overcharged him, so they canceled that out and tried to run it again but due to the whole theft protection thing the card wouldn't let them do the transaction again. The guy is a regular and generally a decent spender so the CR host suggested he use the ATM a few blocks away and come back. I was really pissed about that and worried (he still owed me $100 and this whole thing had already taken about 20 min of my time). I didn't want to let him just go, but I didn't really have a choice.
The CR host said he'd find me when the guy came back and I should try to make money in the meanwhile. I ended up finding someone else and went to VIP for awhile. When I came back down I saw the guy. I went after him and he said he looked for me but couldn't find me. I mentioned the CR again, and he said it was too late for that. I asked about the $100 and he said the CR host had it. So I went to the CR host and got my $100 and asked why he didn't come to find me and he said that the customer was going to find me. So, I ended up losing out on another $250 (my take for a CR). I just needed to vent for a bit.
