That's Nekisa from the show Shear Genius. Do you guys think she has extensions?
I don't know, but I love it. I wonder how long it takes to curl and style it.

that's really pretty, looks extensiony

I dunno. My hair falls like that naturally. It's all in the cut.

^^^ pic please

This is it shorter than the example, but I imagine if I just let it grow out the bottom would be just like that. The curl is all in the cut.
The photo is small so it's hard to tell 100%, but if you get your hair layered at an angle, you get cute curls like that.
Lol this photo sucks.

Also, with Brodie's Jewish hair I think it's more than possible.

i don't understand, ust becauswe your hair is cut a certain way it makes it curl? that never ever worked for me.

Yup. I always had smooth straight hair until I specified I wanted my hair cut in a way that would promote curl.
Here... me before cut and me after.
I didn't straighten my hair for the first or curl my hair for the second.
Both were entirely the cut with NO product. I don't use product.
Although my hair was dirty in the second one, hahaha.

Use big rollers to set the hair, then use a paddle brush to brush it out. It will create luscious waves. Also, like Lysondra said, the cut is important too.
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"
I didn't know that!!!
I have STICK straight hair. When I got my extensions they sure did curl well, but I had to use heat.
I'm going to talk to a new stylist and see if I can get it cut to "promote curl"
I'm not who I say I am.

OMG Lizzie, I love your hair.....

The new cut or the old one? I love my hair, too, it's pretty low-maintence. I only use Lush's shampoo bars on it normally, hahahaha.
Now to keep me from hijacking this thread:
The best way to ask for a cut to promote curls is to ask for layers that add volume to the hair and at an angle that makes it curl more. The angle the hairs are cut is what causes the curl. They don't even use scissors on my hair, just the razor blades for angled slices.

Both!
I want long hair like your first pic; mine right now is about as long as your second pic and I'm so impatient! It used to be down to my butt.
And weird, when they razor my hair it doesn't curl?

Oh, haha. Well the length looks different in the second
Yes they razored at an angle. Maybe some hair is different.

Gawd, I didn't even notice I was threadjacking! LOL, sorry Brodie!
If my hair is a couple inches past shoulder length and I'm growing layers out and want my hair to be a couple inches past bra strap length would it be stupid to get it cut "to promote curl"? I fucking love your hair in the second pic, Lys! That's exactly what I want my hair to do!
And yes, I second the big rollers to set it!

^Okay I just pulled on my hair and I'd say I lost about 3" to actual curl in length and 1" to curl in fringe and 2" in the middle. So take that in consideration with your cut.
But if you want hair like the photo, you'd need it long and then layered pretty far down with a good cut and maybe curlers at night if your hair is stubborn.
(MY THREADJACKING IS ON TOPIC WOOO!)

^ Thanks! I think I'll probably wait a few more months to do it then.. I really don't like short hair on me![]()

I so wish I could have wavy sexy hair. I have stick straight (now badly damaged) Marsha Brady hair no matter what the cut. Boo.
It looks like she may have extensions, but if shes a stylist, she would prob know how to cut her hair to make it do that...it may also have a shitload of product and heat or roller styling too for the show...

i def think she loads on the product.
i love that hair! ha, i have always longed for straight hair my entire life. life would be so easy to just be able to brush my hair whenever i want. i guess its just wanting what u dont have
I haven't seen the show in a while but from the picture it looks like extensions, yes.
