    Default I'm going pale

I always try and have a medium tan (fake) for working in the club, it always makes me feel nicer and more toned looking. Sometimes I wear the wash off stuff but I find that by the end of the night my skin looks a bit patchy where the tan is wearing off so I usually have a base on St Tropez. The thing is, my tan is starting to interfere with my pin up and burlesque stuff. I'm never totally orange, I tend to keep my tan medium to light which I think looks fine when I do burly and pin up stuff on my own.

On Sunday I did a shoot with 2 other pin up girls who where pale pale paley. It really suited them and made me feel like a big orange monster. I just don't get how they're skin looks all even and creamy, I feel like when I'm pale I look all pinky. Also, I have some scars which I think I slight tan helps to hide.

Anyway, once this tan wears off I'm going for the pale look for a while and see how it goes. So, how do you lovely pale ladies keep your skin looking nice and even? Also, whats a good foundation for pale skin, I use mac at the moment should I just get a lighter shade or is there something else I should try?

I think I'll keep wearing the wash off stuff at the club, I'm not sure I can brave it yet as a paley in there. One step at a time...

If you have dark hair the pale look can look very stunning in the club. I've always really liked that look. I stopped tanning, and am very pale. I have a little sun now from all the hiking I've been doing. But, the last few weeks I danced I was pale, and made the same exact money. It depends on how confident you are!
    I'm not who I say I am.

Mix a solution of eggwhites and lemon juice (portions don't matter. Just a good texture to apply to skin). Apply to skin. Use flour to make a mask for your face using the same stuff. Every night for about 2 hours and then wash off. If you want, soak in a bath with lemon juice as well. DO NOT GO IN THE SUN LIKE THIS - IT HAS THE OPPOSITE EFFECT. This will make you pale quickly and evenly.

And this is me when I used to do that:

Yes, as long as you apply it evenly.

I wish I could go pale...I have the pin up body, but when I'm pale I look sickly. I've done it though..when I either couldnt afford, didnt have time, or wanted a break from..tanning. Didnt affect my money..though when i was tan, guys commented on it a LOT.

I found sun labs tanning stuff cheap as hell on ebay so I'm going to try that....but its good to know that theres something I can do to even out my skin tone if I decide to go pale again( and Lysondra...damn you look all gothy hot in that pic!!)

Now..if there was a way to hide cellulite being pale...

I know what you mean, my skin is all kind of blotchy, I want creamy even skin. I'm sick of tanning.

It might sting a little and don't apply it directly to zits or cuts or it'll sting a lot. If it becomes to unbearable just wash it off. Like you can see in my photo, I was a fairly even skinned PALE ASS thing. I spent a long time studying the best ways to become pale.. I have some stronger stove top recipes if you need for masques and lotions later on if you find the results are coming out good.

The acid in the lemon juice effects your pigmentation. The egg white strengthen this effect while giving a good base to apply the cream. If you put lemon juice on and go outside in the sun, it has the opposite effect because it effects pigment through light or lack thereof. You will get a tan quicker than a tanning bed if you do this and go outside.

#1 water. i can't stress hydration enough when it comes to good skin.

#2 a good nights sleep. not always possible, but underestimated.

#3 wear less make-up. it might not look great -at first- but trust me, try letting your skin breathe a lot more by staying away from heavy foundations, not wearing any at all some days, etc. eventually you'll notice an improvement.

    #4 genetics.

that's the shitty part. unfortunately, your genetics are going to play a big role wether you like it or not. take me for example, i *knock on wood* have pretty nice skin. however, i also have RIDICULOUS dark eye circles. i have tried everything from home remedies to expensive treatments and -nothing- works. it's just... in my genes. my skin is thin there and my blood vessels show. not much i can do about it.

so, do the best you can with what you have and don't "try to hard" because sometimes trying really hard can just make matters worse.

I'm pale and kind of blotchy on my arms. No one has ever said anything about it to me. Make sure you exfoliate. I also think Paige used skin whitener, you could try that.

I use Bare Minerals in fairly light and light if I have a "tan" ahha. I try not to be out in the sun though. Having a little color on your face is good though to hide the redness. but you can get that color from just walking around outside.

I'm pale also, as you can see in my avatar. I used to do the spray tan thing too but I just got tired of all the hassle.

Like PP said, I'm pretty fortunate and have good skin. I also have freckles so that makes it a little easier to have "even" color. I only wear full makeup on the days that I work. The rest of the days I either have no makeup or a little powder, light neutral eyeshadow and some mascara. Bronzer also seems to do wonders for my face. I do it very lightly but I think I look sooooo much better when my face has a bit of color to it.

I also use a sea salt scrub with cocoa butter in it and it makes my skin really soft and it takes off the dead skin.

There's been a new girl coming to my club that has an extremely pale skin and dark her and she absolutely rocks it in the club. She's also a bit older and dresses in a slightly burlesque style, she reminds me of Dita von Teese a bit.
I was surprised how well she does, she seems to be pretty confident about her look and although I never thought I'd like it, I absolutely love her style.

I'm sure that when you are confident enough to pull it off you'll do great in the club

I'm usually the palest one in my club. It also means I can pull off being a redhead and everyone assumes it's natural (even the girls, *wow* as long as the color remains even.) Being pale is great! And so much better for your skin! You'll look sooooo much better when you get oldeer.... I don't use foundation, never have... I have super sensitive skin prone to breakouts, so I use very minimal makeup on my skin (just some concealer/blush) and really play up my eyes instead, neutral-shiny lip.
