Just got a notice in the mail that the auto loan my bf applied for was denied.
(Long story short: He got preapproved notice, decided to inquire about it, was told that they'd send the check just to call and verify some info, he decided we should wait to buy car and told them nevermind.)
The letter from Capital One says:
The reason(s) for not approving your request are:
Credit bureau information is missing or unavailable - Application
What in the heck does that mean? I've done searches all over the interwebs and Credit Boards and can't find anything like this.

Glad you got it sorted out. From what they said when I was calling about my loan, it seems like that's the line they give you when ANY sort of information is missing or doesn't match up. Could be name, address, whatever.
