Ever hustle a salesman and have him recognize your techniques? I've had it happen to me twice now and both of them gained a new respect for me and bought dances. It was awesome!

There are a few good threads in HH about that... I think maybe 'guys complimenting your sales tactics.'

I read some about guys saying you are good at selling but I didn't read any about selling to someone who is actually knowledgeable about sales. If you could point me in the right direction, that would be appreciated!
Just pm'ed you![]()
My favorite is when I get spotted right off as a salesperson, and they tell me everything I'm going to say and do and how it won't work on them, and then I sweetly say and do all of it and they spend they money.
This has happened to me in both dancing and my other job.
In my experience, they usually got a huge kick out of it and it was fun for me to have them play right along. You can start giggling together over all the corny sales lingo and say things like, "you should see my rapport building skills when I'm trying to upsell!"

^True..if they love their job as much as you do then things will run smoothly. Nothing worse than the salesmen customer who can't sell, who trys to tell you how to sell Sheesh!
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"

Some are bitter sales assholes who probably suck at their jobs and want to make themselves feel better by being impossible dickheads to us "peon" sales people. Others love their jobs, love the hustle, and will appreciate YOUR hustle. The second kind are the best. I feel like high-fiving them. I danced for a whole group of salesmen a few months ago who thought it was kick-ass that I was assuming the sale, etc by standing up, putting my hands on their knees to spread their legs while saying "Let's do it!" They loved it.

i love selling to salesmen! we laugh and compare sales tactics. then we go up to VIP.

difference is that when she got found out it was hurting her hustle. I still think it's a good idea not to be open about your sales techniques.
After all you are selling a fantasy and sales techniques are often not what men fantasize about. They are CONSTANTLY bombarded by sales tricks every day from the ads they see on TV to the guy at radio shack working for commission. Luckily most people don't recognize these tricks but for the ones that do it can be exhausting.
In fact, most people - including sales people - instinctually resent psychological ploys being implemented to part them from their cash. That's why I personally find it's best to deflect any attention away from your tactics AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I talk about the ways i personally do that in the above threadNot everyone is comfortable with my tactics tho.... But hey, works for me!
Point is you may find a few that are cool with talking about it, but ultimately it will hurt your sales if your open about hustling people. No one wants to be hustled... thats why i think it's best to keep it a secret. You could do so much better by taking their minds off of the fact that your working it!

Of course. But you'll inevitably come across sales people that will recognize your skill and appreciate it. Some are genuinely complimentary and buy dances. I think the gist of this thread is to share that it's a pat on the back when someone who knows the game notices that you're doing a good job.
