I need about three stalks and the only place I've found online is pretty expensive and will take a month to get here. I know it's a weird request, but I figured it is worth asking you guys.
Thanks in advance!

I recommend trying Asian or Latino grocery stores... you're actually IN Indianapolis, right? I'm guessing that in a major city, there should be ethnic communities with all sorts of supercool (but probably small, and therefore easy to miss) grocery stores. Let me read on the internet about where immigrants move when they come to Indianapolis, and then I will have a better idea of where you should go. Hahaha, one of my top 5 skills is finding weird groceries... I can buy you a wallaby testicle on 5th Avenue, practically.
Drought was over. Where was I? Drinks were on the house.
For mixers, my love, you'd poured--what?--even the rain.

...And if you like, try calling the nearest Afro-Caribbean markets and asking about sugarcane... they are fairly likely to carry sugarcane, and they are equally likely to have English-speaking staff who can TELL you whether or not they carry sugarcane, as English is spoken throughout the Caribbean and in many parts of Africa. I hope no one takes this as an ethnic slur... I'm mentioning this because sometimes the biggest challenge with tracking down an uncommon ingredient is finding the time to go to the store in person, because calling won't help if you don't speak the grocer's native language.
Have fun shopping! I am sincerely jealous... here in AK I miss going to goddamn CVS, don't even mention looking for fun groceries.

Wow!! Thank you. I had no idea we have so many international stores in this town. Now I want to go try them all out. I bet they have awesome stuff.
I'm going to start with the Hispanic stores because I'm also looking for papel picado and other Day of the Dead stuff.
You can buy it at the grocery store in Florida, Publix stocks it usually.
