In January, I ordered a pair of Ellie 711-flirt's from them. When the package showed up, the shoe has a different strap than was shown on the photo on their website.
So, I called them and asked them about it. They gave me some excuse about how that particular pair of shoes has a different strap on the red pairs (which were the ones shown), than the stap on the black/ white pairs.
On a side note: If owned a web-based business and knew that the picture I was displaying for a product varies depending on the color, I would list the black and white pairs together with the accurate photo, and then list the red separately with the accurate photo. Because they ARE different shoes styles even though they have the same product name.
Anyhow, back to the story:
So the guy on the phone agrees to send me a pair of Tony 701's to replace them.
I wait eagerly for them to show up, and when they do, I am pissed. They sent me a Pleaser Treasure Chest 701.
First I call and being that nobody answers I leave a message. After a week of them not getting back to me I call back again. I speak with the same guy who helped me with my first exchange. He tells me that I "asked for the Pleaser TC701's". When I tell him I absolutely did not request that particual model and reitterate the shoe model that I DID request he says "they're pretty much the same shoe". At which point I laughed and asked him to explain to me how these were "pretty much the same shoe"?
Tony 701 (the shoe I DID request):
- Black opaque platform
- Regular insole (no secret money compartment, because 1) it's hard to get your damn money out of those things, and 2) the seams in the insole for where the trap door for the money compartment closes hurts like a bitch to walk on).
- Black opaque patent leather toe peice with a thick ankle strap (very supportive)
Pleaser Treasure Chest 701(the ones they sent)
- Black opaque platform
- Stupid money hiding insole (ouch!!!!)
- Clear plastic toe peice with NO strap
At this point the guy is agreeing to do what he said he was going to do last time I spoke with him (send me the right fucking shoes). We'll see how it turns out. I'm crossing my fingers.
The funny thing is, this is the second time I have ordered from them, and the first time, I had the same problem. You know what they say: "make a fool of me once, shame on you. make a fool of me twice, shame on me". I guess I should have known after the first time.![]()
