Treat me with respect and I will always tip you. No matter how much money I make, if a DJ is working hard for me I will tip him $20 minimum. (It's $10 minimum at my club). The point is: he worked for me, regardless of whether I made money or not, so he should get paid!!! I don't understand why a lot of girls don't understand this simple concept.

[quote=madmonk;1642798]well first off dude talk to the boss. 2nd you make minimum wage which is 5.25 to 5.75 right now i belive these girls get naked for a buck pick you battles wisely young dj but but the best way is not to hunt them down just to remember that you work for them so the harder you the more you will make. but like some bosses no matter how hard you work you never get a raise.
sorry i did not mean for this to sound so rude. but it is the truth of it.
At my club the DJ doesn't hound the girls for tips, that's one way to get less from me. A few have been known to sit in the DR at the end of their shift on occasion and kind of wait for the girls to tip them. I find this to be too forward and somewhat rude. I tip the DJ's more when they stay in their booths where they belong. (no offense). ESPECIALLY if the girls aren't making any money. If you only make $2 a shift, find a new club, or new line of work.

first off girls, he ISNT sounding like a sleazebag IMO, he has stated on a couple posts that he is only flirty with the girls when they present it that way first to him, which is the right way to do it afaic.
to address the original posters comment, if you are reallly doing that poorly, and it is due to all the dancers not making shit you may need to find a new club or talk to your manager about imposing a minimum tip, or get the hell out of there and into a new club.
having 9 girls on a day shift and leaving with less than $100, im curious as to how that club is even paying its bills, let alone how long before they close the doors.

A $2 tip? Wow that is pretty harsh. I mean we all have our bad nights but I at least try and make up for it later. The economy is pretty brutal right now...I guess we are all just trying to get by. Some nights it is difficult to part with hard earned cash that you had to practically pry from customers hands. However I believe in good tipping karma...so I try not to stiff people.
Just out of curiosity do you pick the music that is played or do the girls tell you what they want?

Thanks for the help guys.
Things have picked up the last few shifts. I made about $100 one night, $75 for the day, and then like $80 for another day shift.
With this club though, its very up and down. Somedays were on fire, others were not.
I was thinking about this too! Just from the door (no liquor sales, BYOB with larger door fee), and paying me and the manager and utilities and everything, its unlikely they're making much from the dayshifts. A loss leader strategy I guess?
The nights they can pull in a lot, sometimes one or two thousand a single night, but even then, thats not amazing for a huge stripclub. Other nights they make like $400-$500 at the door.
The girls pick the music, or I will pick if they don't want to pick.
I have gotten yelled at for playing music thats too "ghetto" though.
I am interviewing for other non-DJ/in-my-actual-field jobs right now!
Thanks for your help guys.
