I tried it once; on stage I tripped, froze, and ALL the other girls were super mean to me so that I lost all confidence in my dancing skills. I couldn't approach any customers either, and they were more intrested in being my friend than in getting a dance ( I wasn't doing the whole fantasy girl thing, I didn't know!) I lasted about an hour before I ran out crying. The DJ did a special, three dances for 30$ plus a free hat, and all at once every girl in the club was table dancing at once and I felt like I was part of a giant gyrating orgy, I was pretty repulsed. After a gross cowboy kissed me hard on the lips I hightailed it out of there, crying the whole time. So I gave up stripping for a long while, almost a year, and now I'm back! I knew I had done my research and really girls, it.is.not.that.bad..! I can't believe that I am saying this, but compared to any other job I've had I think this will be one of the best ones. I can work any day I want to, I can take a break whenever I need to, I can choose who I work with, I will be making a ton of decisions and be in charge of my work, I can set my prices, and I will be oggled at all night and be making more money than ever. I don't know what the difference was this time, exept maybe that I found these boards. I still can't dance, but when I got up on the stage there was 10-15 guys ready to tip me so I just went up to them individually, which is a little easier. I also went to a different club, the new one is all nude and much funner, not so fancy and boring like the first one. All I can say is go for it! You never know what might happen. I hope to be of some motivation to others, because as cliche as it sounds it is indeed empowering, for me, at least. Maybe it will get worse over time once I start getting bad experiences with customers, but so far so good.
