Default 'Campers' vs hustling the floor

I've only been dancing for about a month and a half but I've read over this forum like it's my bible, lol and it has helped unbelievably. I really work the floor, and I know I make good money in comparison to the other girls b/c the staff (manager and owner) have told me so, so I think that is the way to work-buuuuut some girls will 'camp out' with a customer. The customer will come to the stage and ask me to come over for a dance or motion me over or even just give me the 'I want you to come over here' look however with another girl at their table I am not supposed to go over to the table. These girls are so effed up, maybe the only way they sell dances is to annoy the customer into buying them so they'll go away (which customers have told me they will do-be pressured into dances) but it's really stupid to me.

How do I get around the campers and get to my potential customers?!

To me, it's not worth the drama to go interupt so I just walk past them and smile at the custie and he knows I'm ready for him.

hmmmm... campers..... you could always sit down and be friendly with the girl to get a feel of what is going on i guess..... but of course only w/ the friendly ones.... the mean girl campers are like stripper cock blocks the only thing I can think of doing is give the guy "the look" like new moon said and hope he comes to your stage when she leaves to do whatever...

I tell the guy, "ok sweetie, I'd REALLY love to come to your table, but I don't approach if there is another girl there. Now, if you want me to come over to the table, you're gonna need to get rid of her YOURSELF"

If, by the time I get off stage and she is still there, I give him a wink (in which) to say, "hey you better make your move buddy" but I still keep it moving. I will walk into his area periodically so that he knows I'm still watching, but I do not approach.

Oh heaven's no! I say it when the guy comes up to approach to tip and ask me to come back to his table. It's my bodylanguage that's telling him to make his move..not me actually verbally saying that.

Oh okay, I was just wondering because I never have that situation since we don't have tipping here!! There is no way of me predicting a camper problem. Once the problem is evident, the girl is there and there is not much I can do.

I just never understood that mentality. Because, you know, free drinks pay for gas in the car and food on the table...

for god's sake don't take my newbie advice but if a guy comes up to my stage and shows interest i would bend down and tell him "hey baby. i'm gonna come see you when my set's over. make sure you save my seat next to you" or something along that nature

So you're basically telling him to get rid of the girl he's with? What if he wants her there and just wanted to tip you? That is borderline rude IMO. I have a regular who I sit with on the floor (he pays me) and he will once in a blue moon go to tip a girl onstage. If she said that to him, he would be pissed and so would I!

actually, if you would read the op, it says that the custie has come over to her stage and asks her for a dance. and from what i read in the op, i understand that that there is no girl at the table with the custie when he comes to the stage. the time between him coming up tipping her and when she's done with her set is when another dancer is there

ETA well i read over again and got a different understanding. another girl is already at the table. but it's still the same understanding if the custie comes up and expresses that he wants a dance from you.

I would still be more cautious and say something more along the lines as above: "Honey, I'd love to dance for you but I don't approach guys when they are with another lady. I will come see you when you are free."

I still don't like the idea of TELLING a guy to get rid of a girl.

If a guy comes to my stage and asks for a dance, I'lll try to get them to stay at my stage so that I can give my dance right after stage. It keeps others girls from snatching my dance (and I dont have to go lookin for him.. I'm a lazy stripper lol)

There's a dancer at my club (actually there are 5 or 6) who's entire hustle consists of sitting next to a guy until he gets up and leaves, tells her to leave, or asks for a dance. She has zero conversation skills. And the other night a customer told me to come get him when I was done with my other customer to do some dances. Well, of course, the camper was at his table when I was done. I made eye contact with him and then sort of walked around a few times. It was the end of my shift and I wanted to go home. But, I'm always game for an easy $60. Now I know dancer protocol and whatever, but this kind of dancer is such an irritation for me, I couldn't stand it, I went up and said, "okay, I'm back, and ready for those dances you said you wanted". I mean, fuck it. I wouldn't do it to a dancer i have respect for, but seriously, she had her back practically next to him and they were staring off in different directions. Those girls suck.

I absolutely feel free to go over and say "Hey, I see you're busy now, but I didn't want you to think I'd forgotten about you. I'm ready whenever you are."

Oh also, I knew there was a recent thread on this:

OMFG I fucking HATE stupid cunt bitches that sit for free. f#*&2%74%51!!!!!

Ooooh thanks Susan! Reading other girls angst about campers helps me feel better about the stupid girls at my club that sit and daze off into space next to a customer. Saturday night off work in a month and a half and I'm on SW! LOL

Good Lord, that could potentially be VERY time-consuming!

It's not like you're cutting off the other girl by jumping in his lap. You're just letting him know you're available now and leaving it up to him. Either he's ready and tells the other girl he was waiting on you or he tells you to come back, you know?

My number one pet peeve is girls who will intrude on another girl and her customer. In my opinion, it is never ok to interrupt. If the guy is interested, stand somewhere (away) where he can see you and make eye contact and motion to him. If he really wants you, he'll tell the girl he's with to go away.

The reason it bothers me is because I have a few customers that will pay me just to talk. If it's busy, that means a CR but if it's slow I'll negotiate a lower rate just to sit on the main floor with them (usually about $150 a half hour or $300 an hour). That means girls will sometimes see me sitting with the same guy for an hour or so without getting dances on slow nights.

One time, I was sitting with a guy and we agreed to an hour. After the first hour, I was trying to sell another hour when this girl plopped into his lap tossed her tits in his face and said it was time for him to get the 2-4-1 special for $20 bucks. So he said he'd be right back (paid me first of course). After the special, he said he was going to head home. So, she made $20 and I was out another $300.
