    Default My Costa Rican rhinoplasty

So I got my nose job here in San Jose, Costa Rica a few days ago. I am sitting here in my friends house with nothing else to do except watch tv and read stripperweb. My Doctor was Miguel Alfaro and I had heard wonderful things about him from some friends down here but they had all had like tummy tucks and such no rhinoplastys. Considering that it is pretty well known that doctors in latin america can be very good at body work if you find a qualified doctor (butt fat transfers were invented in Brazil) and the prices are very much cheaper in then in the states I had considered this for a while but had never heard anything about facial plastic surgery in latin america. I knew Dr Alfaro would be a qualified doctor and not a quack when i found as being one of only three plastic surgeons in Costa Rica that are part of blue cross blue shield. My surgery was done at hospital Cima which is the newest and nicest hospital in Costa Rica. He used local anesticia because I didn't need any bones broken and it was nice because I didn't have to deal with the ricks/after effects of general anesticia and it made the whole thing cost almost 1000 dollars cheaper. anyway if anyone has any questions about PS in costa Rica I will be happy to tell you what I don't (don't go to the Rosenstock-Liberman clinic).
Also to anyone who has had a rhinoplasty, how long did you have to wait before you could excersize again? any rapid recovery tips?

What did you have done to your nose exactly? I am considering a rhinoplasty. How did you do under the anesthesia? you were completely aware right...

All were very subtle changes but I hhad some sartilage removed from the tip, the tip raise very very slightly and a bump from when I broke it when I was a kid "rasped" off. And yes I was aware the whole time I had had a ensurence paid spetoplasty before where they didnt do anything cosmetic, and I had general anesthesia for that. Im not going to lie, getting about 8 shots of what the dentist gives you before you get your teeth drilled is really really painful, and you can still everything thats going on, but it doesn't hurt. just like at the dentist I guess

Im not staying at a hotel, I am staying at my friends family's house, and they are taking really good care of me. And yes I am still pretty swollen, but I am eating a TON of fresh pineapple(which has more bromelian then supplements) taking alot of extra vitamin C which is depleated greatly by surgery and homepathic arnica. When i went to my post op visit, my doc was like " Wow, you have no bruising at all and the swelling is going down so fast!" so I guess its working
