I've noticed that since I began doing some inverted pole tricks I have been getting little red dots around my eyes, and a few little tiny broken veins. Did anyone else have this problem and does it go away?

I've never heard of it, but I don't do inverts much anymore since my BA. That, and I can't remember from before. There are a lot fo super pro pole dancers on here, and those that have more experience than me that might be able to help you.
I'm not who I say I am.

Honestly? I do hella lots of inverts, and I've NEVER had that happen. I know what you mean though---every time I get sick and throw up a lot, i get that. Like, really painfully obvious, whites of eyes are beyond bloodshot-just RED... Its really creepy. And a few around the edges of the lids, usually smaller. It usually stays for a week or so, looking its worst about 2-3 days in?
If the only change you can find in your activities/lifestyle is the inverts, maybe check your technique, stretch out more, take care to not overflex muscles or cut off the circulation anywhere. BUt i honestly would bet this isn't from poledancing.
WE'll see though, i bet alena or nikita would have good info, and its been awhile since a lot of my anatomy/physiology studies.

i have those...they came on WAY before pole dancing. hell, my 7 yr old has one under his eye too.
it's a circulatory thing, but i guess you couldn't TOTALLY rule out the strain of inversions, but i believe i read the ones under your eyes are exacerbated by the sun.
i'm prone to spider veins also though.

Thanks for the responses. I'm pretty sure they are from the pole dancing, cause they show up almost immediately after I finish a practice. I figure I have wussy capillaries, I'm prone to spider veins too. I've noticed that they do show up mostly after stuff like straight edges etc that involve some strain.
I have these from years of being on my feet...and genetics...stinky genes...damn them!
