Default Classier new club, should I get a classier new name?

So I'm finally switching to Club #2 (remember my thread - ). With school starting up again and I can only work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I can't deal with my current club on weekends. It's all kids. It's like a goddamned treehouse or something.

Anyways, I currently go by Roxy... which I think is a little too stripperific. Should I switch to a more subtle, classy name at my new club? Some ideas....

    1. A wholesome name, like my middle name, Marie, or Jennifer.
    2. A realistic but sexy name like Stella or Chloe.
    3. A Greek Goddess name, like Thalia (the muse of comedy)
    4. A European sounding name like Adelia, Christabella or Chanel.

What do you think? What kind of "feel" should I go for?

i dont like any of the ones that could be mispronounced. thaila, adeila.. do you really want to correct people all night long?

i mean, i went by tessa.. not too hard.. but they managed to make that tassa. come on now. or tasha.. whatever.. i had to spell it most of the time.

i loved my name but at my new club i changed it to megan and it is sooo nice not having to correct people on my name.

something simple is best i think. though i dont think being at a 'classy' club means you have to have a 'classy' name. i like roxy.

oh and i think chanel is cheesy and almost seems like youre trying too hard to BE classy. does that make sense?

I like Roxy better than the other names, but if you would feel more comfortable with something different, go for it. As long as you aren't going by Delicious or something tacky like that, the name shouldn't matter too much.

I think Chloe's a good stripper name that works for a lot of dancers. Roxy is too of course, but Chloe is a little more luxurious. I had the same name for the longest time. Now I change it with different fazes.

Or you could go by Roxanne. Then you will still be Roxy for short.

These are always my fav. IMO girl-next-door type names always do the best. Guys seem to obsess over the fact that all strippers are so full of shit, that a "real name" can make a good first impression, and build a little consumer confidence.

I've also noticed that Euro-sexy type names are pretty universally loved by men, Alexandra, Daniella, Victoria. So, IDK, go with your gut.

I don't think Roxy is a bad choice either, I mean, you're already comfortable with it...
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

TRUE! Make it easy to understand. I wouldn't make it too "out there" unless you wanna potentially be explaining and/or defending your name again and again. Guys wanting to know how you came up with it or what kind of name is it or just giving you shit--"Oh yeah, like THAT'S your real name!"

Yeah, these things happen anyway, but much more often with a strange or hard to understand name. The name I dance to now is a lot more simple and more like a "real name" than the one I used to dance by. While I personally prefer my old name, my current name causes me minimal aggravation.

    Just my

I love the name Chloe -- it's sexy, classy, feminine. I knew a dancer by that name and she was the club's top earner.

So I'm starting on Tuesday, and practically every normal name was taken... so I am going by (drumroll)... VIOLA. Vee-o-LA. Everyone always say "VY-O-la". I'm sure I'm going to get shit about it, but I'll freely volunteer my real fake name to anyone who asks and act like I'm telling them something special.

I think it depends on your "act" too -- I work with this girl who calls herself "Amy" and her act is all sweet and girl-next-door. I think it depends on how you'd like to portray yourself. Also, the more natural-sounding the name, the better! (for me)

I used to work with a stella at my current club. I think it's a great name. Also really easy to hear in a loud club.

I think you'd rock a name like Stella or Thalia - they're unusual and strong.
