A dancer you like approaches you and asks if you would like a dance. You accept. At what point do you decide how many dances to get? Do you know the moment you say yes or do you wait and see?

Im really curious about this too. great post!

Not usually something I'm thinking about. If i know i enjoy her dances I'm not gonna just buy one. If I'm new to her we'll start with one and see where we go from there.
As a customer you only really think in terms of number of dances when you only have a set amount of money to spend.
I usually get 2-3 before I make the final decision if I want VIP or not... usually by then I can tell if I would enjoy multiple dances and/or just more time in general with a dancer, this is based on the dance(s) she's given so far and how we have interacted and what not.

One first to test the waters.
With the ATF, I know it's 2 on the floor to get re-acquainted and then 3-$100 for at least a set if not 2 or sometimes, we just do the hour.
Wait and see. But I am always optimistic.
FBR
Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.
Unless its a girl I'm familiar with, its always wait and see. Usually its a minimum of 2 unless the first dance is really horrible, then I cut and run at 1. If its someone I'm familiar with, then its usually a case of time, how much money I've got left, whether I'm on the floor or VIP, and what that club's pricing structure is.
But its never a case of a girl I don't know or barely know coming up and me thinking "Okay, I'm getting six dances from her"..

If the song (whether its the first one, the second, or the 13th) is nearing end, and I'm enjoying myself, and there is sufficient funding in the tiproll, I re-up for another one. If not, the gal has likely made her last sale. Its that simple. I can be more forgiving on a less than stellar opening song if the dances are cheap (say $10).
Former SCJ now in rehab.

If I get a crap air dance it is "one and done". Other wise I'll give a dancer a couple of dances to make her case. Girls I know and like are usually a 4 or 5 dance string.
I always look for the dancer on whom I can spend every cent I brought in. There are two dancers at my favorite club that I already know will be that girl. My only problem will be the night that both are working, which so far has not happened.
On the nights that neither is working, or in a new club, I will get one or two, then decide whether to proceed.

I always have a set amount of money that I plan on spending. It will usually last me a half dozen private dances and some general tipping at the main stage and bar. Now if a drop dead gorgeous girl offered me a dance right from the get go I'd definitely take it. Typically it would only be one dance to get me started. If that dance was mind-blowing and I needed more, I would take another dance or two. After three dances that would be enough for me. At that point I would go back into the general area and enjoy a beer or two, and watch the main stage. At some point I plan on spending everything but I want the entire experience to last for an hour or two. I would never blow all my money in 15 minutes. Once the money is gone so am I so I try to spread it out. The funny thing is that after I've been there for a while and I'm thinking about moving on I'm looking to end my night with some private dances. That's usually when it's the hardest to find a dancer. I have walked out with money I intended on spending which is not good for me or the potential dancers.

I'm going to do at least a couple if I like her enough, based on convo time, to be buying any at all. The chances are it will be four or five (depending on the cost of dances) unless her technique is very disappointing.

If you ask and I say yes it's a minimum of 2. By the end of song, if I'm enjoying myself it turns into 5. If not, I'm hopeful song 2 will change my mind. If she's really my type it's several blocks of 10 through the night.
Introductory dances are pretty much one way contact. I prefer to put her at ease and see how she engages me into the experience. In Vegas, I had a streak where I kept picking girls from San Diego. The dances were very light contact, but the ladies were hot and fun and I'd end up spending alot of money on them.
If I accept an offer for private dances, I generally intend to have at least two. Only if it's apparent from the outset that the dances are the definition of lame will I cut things off after one. And if the dances are off the charts, then I'll go for 3-5.

I usually know before she asks*. I pay $50/song for lap dances where I am, so dancers new to me get one song, and usually only after I've gotten a tip walk dance** as a test. My ATF and other favorites get more ( 2-8 ). I have a complex and overly-analytical internal dance card, but I almost always leave feeling glad I visited and having spent what I planned to spend, so it works for me.
*A couple of times a dancer has been so friendly and sweet following a "no" that suddenly I was feeling cheery and changing my mind, then got a dance immediately or later.
** A brief mini lap dance out on the floor for a few singles in tip. It's a great way to find out if her style matches what I like, and to do a scent check.

Great thread. This is really interesting. I notice that most customers seem to get either a table dance $20 for one song or 10 mins (which is $50 for 10 mins) at my club and then if they like me they will get several dances either straight away or they will have a break and get more dances later on in the night.
I like the ones who recommend me to their friends too. The other night a nice young guy recommended me to all his friends and I made $200 and then when he came back for another dance I gave him extra time coz I appreciated it.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
I usually get 2 or 3. That's my MO. If the dancer is very good, I'll get a fourth one, but if we are having problems during the first dance, I'll cut it off after the first one. I usually tip $10 for 1, 2 or 3 dances, $20 for 4 dances.
I usually go there with the intent of spending on a three songs for 10 minutes set but I think its a bit like the pokies or slot machines, a bit hard to stop once you start to feed money.![]()
Having said that I prefer to walk out having spent more money than I intended to, rather than not being able to find someone to entertain me during my visit.

For a girl I've never danced with, the minimum is usually 2 songs, unless there is zero contact, zero personality, or perhaps some kind of bad odor (smoker's breath or B.O., for instance)
If my current fave is in the house, then she will get the entire amount I have to spend that night. ATM visits do not happen.
If the fave is off, a new girl or other regular will get 2 or more dances, depending on whether or not there's another dancer on duty that I want to try out.
I've had dancers come up to me and just say "Want a dance?" I've have said no sometimes, but typically if the approach is this brash, I only buy one dance. If a girl sits with me and I can buy her a drink, then more dances typically result. Strip Club foreplay is a good thing!
I am not a number. I am a free man
I usually wait and see how good of dance she gives. Sometimes the dancer is in good mood, horny, likes the song or something like that and will put her all in the dance so you GOTTA get more than one. Other times she maybe tired or something and it'll show in the dance, then you gotta get one and done
