Default Lower Housefees During the Summer

Does anyone work at a club that lowers the housefee around certain times of the year in order to make it easier on dancers to work? One of my clubs once made it easier for us to work during the summer (since summer time is generally slow) by not making us pay two housefees if we pulled a double shift. It just seems like with the economy being worse in some states than others, clubs would lower the housefees since a lot of girls aren't making good money as often as before.

Well from the club's POV, if they have enough dancers willing to pay regular housefee, why lower it?

yeah.... they should do this, especially in florida. The club doesn't even pick up until 11/12 here, and if we don't get there before 9 it's 25, before 10 it's 30. I'm used to 10-20 dollar housefees if you get there by 10, and the club was always packed, so this is new and frustrating. Not to mention we have to tip out the manager $10, the housemom $5, and minimum 20 to the bouncers and dj, so that's minimum 35 tip outs + a 25 house, we're paying 60 dollars to work in a club where it takes alll your energy to make 200 dollars!

summertime in florida is the worst.

The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above."

Im really curious as to why summer is the slow season for dancing in the US?
It's the exact opposite here. It's our busiest season and winter is slow??

In my city fees are pretty nominal to begin with. There is not much to lower them to.

I think that in the summer a lot of people prefer to be outside in the sunshine and not in a dark club. This holds true for my club during daylight hours but our nights are good.

    ^^
nights are good? my club is only open at night. i think winter puts people off coz its so cold and wet. but realistically australia doesnt really get cold if i compare it to other parts of the world. but it's def way slower in winter than summer here.

Pretty much. I've never worked a club like that.

When I mentioned not wanting to pay the $25 house fee to come in at 9pm on a Saturday night, the manager just told me - "forget it, I'll comp you". Haha!! Did NOT expect that.
