Go in well-dressed with a resume and cover letter and ask for the manager?

This is what I did, waaaay back in the day: Call the establishment and ask when is the best time to come in with your resume. If they give you a time, come in 15 minutes before the time, dressed well, with your resume and a list of references. If they don't give you a time, come in between 2pm and 5pm. When I managed a hotel and restaurant, that was out down time between shifts. Research the place online, come prepared and ask questions. I worked as a server at a buffet, a chain restaurant, then as a hostess, then as a cocktail server and at the last establishment, I was promoted to a manager. The extra $200 or more you earn per weekend is great, and it's considered customer service experience for any job you apply for after college. Good luck!

Just because someone is a modal it doesn't make them "attractive" imo. Anyways it must have been a troll don't let it get to you. I don't see how they could call you that anyways since you didn't post a pic or anything.

If you could spell model correctly perhaps I could give your opinion more weight. I think that was on a first grade spelling quiz I had... right next to 'because' and 'people.' And I never said I was attractive, just not hideous.

okay. seriously guys. a resume for a waitress job????? not that serious. go in and look decent. imo you don't have to be dressed to nines but you have to look presentable. just go in and ask for an application and ask to speak with a manager at that point

I highly recommend being a server at some point in your life, makes you humble. You can make ALOT depending on the section you are handling in the restaurant(front, back, bar) and how good you are at hustling your personality. I like to turn my tables fast, but sometimes this may make people feel rushed. I do not want to mislead you that you will have sucky tips/people, because you just will...it is the business. On some nights I make really good money, and others it is just alright. If I have someone that I am waiting on who is cranky, I kill it with kindness and it usually shows in my tips GL

    ^^^
    How about nowhere?
My friends, let us not dwell on the negative. Waitressing is a decent, respectable job and many of the waitstaff I know regularly outearn many of the dancers that I know. And this is "Other Work" where dancers and former dancers can discuss employment alternatives. And of course, we all know perfectly well that misspelling or mistyping a word doesn't make someone unintelligent

However, I'm pretty sure you do need a resume. People don't really have applications anymore, do they?
