    Default Nutrisystem/ other meal plans

I'm going to be basically holed up at a barn 5-6 days of the week, so I thought this might be a good time for me to lose some weight. I've been steadily gaining since HS (only 10lbs or so) but its b/c I eat garbage and I'd like to get healthier. I'll also probably need more energy since I'm working so much.

I won't have time to go out and grocery shop and cook, so I'm afraid I'll fall into a dismal spiral of Taco Bell and In & Out burger.

Anyone ever done Nutrisystem or a food program like that?

okay... it's "lose" weight, not "loose" weight. That is my biggest pet peeve.

And nutrisystem is probably the best way to go for all the reasons you've listed. The only thing I'd worry about is getting enough fresh fruits and vegetables, because aren't most of the meals frozen and packaged?

Omg nutrisystem :vomit: A person I use to PA for went on this. Shit I even backed the idea. Then the food came. He was completely excited...till he tried to eat it.

It's rations. And nothing more. It's disgusting. We ended up using the "snacks" to fill containers at his office and home for decoration.

I've heard better things about the south beach program. Although if I were you, I'd simply buy rice cakes, fresh produce like fruits and veggies and if you eat meat..turkey meat. It's lean and you can take this time to also learn how to prepare healthy meals.

you're going to be in the la area right? there's a company called susan's healthy gourmet. their food is really good and proportioned to a certain number of calories, you choose which portion size you want and you know exactly how many calories you're getting. it's all really healthy and tasty. only thing is, it's a bit pricey...but maybe you could look into that?

ohhh or if you're in LA I'm sure there's one of those programs where they deliver fresh vegetable and fruit juice to you every morning for juice fasting/feasting. That would for sure help you lose weight.

Nutrisystem tastes like shit and you still have to grocery shop for fruits and salad stuff and milk etc. Only a couple things were edible, the rest tasted worse than the free lunch in elementary school.

I have heard good things about diettogo. I see they added more local areas. Finally, lol. Another one like that is www.meals21.com (They have lots of local offices in most states).

$400-$600 a month, fresh food, delivery, different calorie levels. No need to buy any vegetables or fruits. You are supposed to add skim milk or 2% milk though, which is something you can pick up at the gas station, drug store, or where ever.

Great for when you're in a city for work for a few months...don't even need dishes, lol.
