I'm just at a loss here. I feel like crap, I look like crap, and it's time to fucking make a change.
I'm 6 foot tall and 175 lbs. While I'm not overweight (yet!) my mom has commented that this is the biggest she's seen me.I know I don't want to go back to 130-135 because even though that was because of my natural metabolism, I was getting tired of the ana/mia questions when I was still eating like a horse, and I really had no curves.
So I'd like to be a healthy feeling and looking medium. I am not going to make a decision as to what specific amount I want to lose or weight I want to be at; I'd rather just get to a happy healthy medium where I feel great all around. So no scales. I don't own one anyways.
My big problems/ questions I have that I could really use some help with:
-Cost
I know you can eat plenty of complete crap for cheap. That's what has happened to my diet and my husband's. He has actually bought some protein whey powder and a carb blocker, but that won't do shit if he's still eating crap.
What I want to is to eat HEALTHY on a budget. I do know that it will be a bit more expensive than the cheap carb and sugar crap I've been living on, so i expect that. i just need the best bang for the buck in our financial situation.
-Time
75% of my week I am working. Most of my shifts are long, like 12noon to like 10 at night. I really need money badly, so I really don't have the time to sit down and have an elaborate lunch or anything; I want to take as many deliveries as possible! Plus my employer has very small windows to actually order food because of busy times. So I need a good plan for a powerful breakfast, and good snacks I can keep in a hot car all day. (I'd be willing to get a cooler).
-Energy
I have been trying to clean my disaster of a house among other things. For 2 months. My days off come along, but nothing gets done because i am so downtrodden and listless with no energy. I need to get productive or I fear my house will make me sick! I also get very low on energy and am constantly hungry at work, because my breakfast fuel never seems to last any longer than getting me to work to clock in! I also tried nuts in the car, but that's not enough!
-Exercise
Since I have no energy, I do not exercise besides working which isn't exercise. My joints an muscles ache from inactivity. It's also hot as fuck.
I need a simple startup plan for a complete idiot when it comes to exercise for extremely tired, busy people.
Any opinions, help, kicks in the ass (gentle please), advice, etc (even websites to check out!) Would be so great. I swear I was just getting started on the healthy eating in NorCal, but I crave variety and the monotony was getting me irritible and back to crap eating to comfort me.
Also, is whey protein powder a good boost? i don't mean living strictly on the stuff, but as a supplement??
