Default getting rid of PMS bloating?

The search function is not working for me and keeps giving me error messages, so if you wouldn't mind taking a few minutes to give me info that's probably lurking around in other threads that I can't find...

...I desperately need suggestions on how to get rid of pre-period bloating. I've tried drinking water with lemon juice for the past few days, but so far no improvement.

    Warning: TMI!

Part of why I feel so uncomfortable that I just want to crawl out of my skin is that I'm bloated and retaining water...but part of it is that I'm horribly constipated too. Between the two, I can't get any relief.

I've tried the lemon water for the bloating, and taken stool softeners for the constipation...nothing is even remotely working.

Help? I'm so fucking miserable. This always happens for a full week before my period and it's horrible.

Three 200mg pills/capsules of Ibuprofen will help with the inflammation and pain. Caffeine is a natural diuretic and will help with the bloating but might not help the pain.

yogi tea- detox tea. It has dandelion in it, good for water retention.

yeah- whole foods or any health food store will have it... i think even some regular grocery stores carry the yogi tea brand. It's got a bunch of herbs in it that help cleanse your liver, flush out your lymphatic system, help your digestion and regulate your fluid levels. I LOVE it. they have it in peach flavor too. It tastes kind of spicy because it's got cinnamon in it, I think it speeds up your metabolism too because of all the warming herbs.

the women's tonic by yogi tea is also good- it has dong quai which helps regulate your hormone levels.

For constipation: LOTS of water, exercise, and add fiber to your diet through either stuff like flax or supplements. Too much fiber will constipate you though so you need to do it slowly, adding a bit more each day. Don't forget lots of water while you add more fiber.

Bloating: water. B complex vitamins. I second the yogi tea.
