OMG i have this book! I've read a little of it....

The guy is actually a demonstrator for like conventions and stuff.... I'm going to pull it out of it's hiding place later on tonight to give you a better review

But, it is more about sales techniques and I'm more into the deeper psychological aspects of the hustle, but there's a few useful things

One of the techniques he really relies on for influence is story telling and parables... not so useful in stripping. I tried it... it's a little too verbose to be of much use... you'd have to really get creative with it.

Another one of his shticks is the "this is dangerous..." techniques where he entices you by like making you wonder if you can handle whatever it is he's tring to influence you to do... which it's like human instinct to say "yes, i'm up for the challenge"

Anyways it's more about gimmicks than psychological principles like Influence. But, i liked (what i read of) it anyways... it's not so bad.

It's also only in hardcover which i didn't realize before i bought it... but it's still a good price

Hmm. So like, "my dances are pretty intense, I don't think you can handle them! I'm definitely too much for you" blah blah blah

    ^^^ lol yep!

OK so yeah, after flipping through this book again it really is just a bunch of tricks and techniques used in pitching sales. I mean a good portion of it just talks about using metaphors and colorful language to get the sale.

Don't get me wrong... there are a few techniques in here that are easily applied to the hustle, and I like his way of viewing things.

For example: in the overcoming resistance chapter he states that objections are opinions and opinions can be changed. And that behind every great decision maker is a person who will change his mind based on new circumstances, fresh evaluation and whim.

^^This statement alone imo shows the kind of mind that wrote this book. He's no doubt good at what he does.... but for the most part this is book for sales people (esp. ones moving high priced investments)... not fantasy girls.

I mean for christ sake the damn thing is peppered with little magic tricks that you can do for your clients.

Anyways... I'm 50/50 on it. I literally got half way through it. I'd say that there are better sales books out there if that is what your looking for, but this is a good one cause it focuses on making sales fun and entertaining. Even though a lot of it is basic sales technique....

It's good... it's just hard to apply to dancing a lot of the time.

haha that's funny. i'd never thought about using the whole "challenge/danger" aspect to close a deal. that's a good one. now that i think about it, guys try to use it on me all the time at the club. does that happen to you guys too?
for example, when they're trying to get me to do extras in VIP they'll say something like, "you're scared of me, aren't you? you're scared to do it."
...used in this context, i find the tactic a HUGE turn off. While i find the assumption irritating, i'd say the biggest way it affects me is that it causes me to think that either they are really stupid, or they think i'm really stupid. i mean, come on! do you really think i'm scared to kiss you?!? for christ's sake! i'm dancing topless in front of a complete stranger! do i seem like the kind of person that would be SCARED to kiss you!?! i don't kiss you because i don't want to, moron. sheesh.

anyway, i'll try giving this tactic a shot when i'm trying to make a sale and see how it flies. while it def doesn't work on me, i have a feeling it may well work on insecure horny men... we'll see... thanks for the tip

Last year during golf season here, i had an arsonal of jokes. Long ones, short ones, stupid ones, riddles. I swear I banked off them! I would trade jokes, offer jokes for drinks, 'if you cant answer my riddle you owe me a dance, if you can, ill flash you my boobs'. I would have them 'joke challenge' me and let thier friends decide who was funnier. Like: " me: do you know any good jokes? guy: yes i do! me: bet you a dance mines funnier! Then let the buddy know what was just said and get them to egg the guy on. Silly, playfulness. This year I was planning on learning a ton of silly magic tricks that I could do easily at the bar. I googled it and found a bunch. That was going to be my trademark this year. I'll not be working this golf season,, Im baking a bun in the oven instead. Next year... *waves wand over hat*

    (sry multi quote not working)

I'll tell guys who never been in sc before or havent had a dance yet, "Yea! I get to ruin you for the rest of your life! You'll never have a dance as good as mine!" It works often.

I think Im wanting this book..

I used to work with this older asian girl and she was fricken hilarious. She always joked with the customers before she even sat down and seemed to do extremely well that way. She was one of the girls at my work who always made money. I tried to play that whole "oh you can't handle me anyways" line, but it never really seemed to work for me. My thing is seducing with my eyes and body language. I am a bad liar so the less I speak, the more money I made. The harder I tried to sell, the less I'd sell. Things always came easier if I was just sensual and seductive, just because I didn't have to pretend.

I always keep a few good jokes on hand (mostly sexual jokes) for when a customer seems tired of dancers approaching them with the same "wanna dance?" lines. Jokes are good for waiting time (like if you're waiting in line at the bar or ATM), or even during the dance if the guy has a funny/goofy personality.

If a guy seems completely bored, I'll say something really random, like "Did you know that sodomy is against the law in this state, but it's legal to marry your first cousin?". Just to throw them off. The customers are there to entertain ME.

If he's bored, don't you think remaining there is a complete waste of your time? If a guy is bored, either shit or get off the pot: close the sale or move the fuck on, because you're probably camping if he's bored.

    Love it!

^I think she meant when she approaches a bored looking custy.

I tried the reverse tactic (You're right, my dances are probably too hot for you to handle ) and it didn't work for me. Maybe I will try it again tho - it could of just been bad timing that night.
