I tend to sit on my knees onstage and stare at a group of guys that have been watching but not tipping. Then I'll pull out my garter and cock my head to the side and pout. Or point at the pulled out garter. Or dramatically yawn.

Whatever gets their attention. And I don't even have to yell at them and bring my money down with other people. (I'm a good girl, I am. Can't go and yell at the douchebag custies.)

Pulling out the garter and staring at them usually works!

I've had a couple of situations where I've almost asked if they need me to grab the waitress to break change for tips ....
I probably will do that soon ( only in a mid-level club , I know it could probably get me booted out of a posh club ).
I wrote about this in another thread. I'm curious if anyone has ever done this ( in a nice way ... you are are being helpful after all and simply getting the girl for them ...). It's pretty rare that a non-tipper will catch my eye or attention .... there have just been a couple times ( where it was slow of course which left me little else to focus on ) that I've been even been tempted to do this.

I think the only time I've ever said anything to a cust. was when they were sitting at the tip rail and not tipping. I went up to him to say "Do you like to work for free? because I don't" andd... the loser finally parted with his one dollar. ...

I think assholes like that deserve to be bitched at. If we say something to them then they'll more than likely start tipping everyone because they don't want to be humiliated again.
If a guy is sitting at my stage and not tipping I'll tell him to get off my stage. Buh-bye and wave him off.

It's so ridiculous. I mean, I think guys those guys who dress up in Star Wars costumes and camp on the streets outside the theater for a month to see the first showing are pretty silly, but I would never take to the time to seek out a forum, register, then start talking about what losers they are and ask if they plan to be out of their parents' basement by 40.

    /threadjack, sorry

If I saw someone put their money back in their pocket at the tip rail after I did my dance... I'd squat and hold out my garter. Shame makes pockets open up real quick sometimes. Can't blame the OP for mouthing off though. It's horrible to treat customers that way, but DAMN i can't point blame. I've gotten pissed like that too! Sweatpants dollar stashing man is no match for the jaded stripper that has eyes in the back of her head. Good for you!
lol thanks girl. I mean, its a TIP RAIL. We are on stage to DANCE FOR TIPS. Its like hell-o, is it that hard to comprehend for men? SHAME ON THEM! They know better.

I just ignore them most of the time. Around here tipping is not really the norm. If they sit at the podium they get pressured to get a table dance which is $20. But a lot of guys sit there and just think it's a free show.

My friend kicks them off her podiums. It's so funny. If they wont buy a $20 dance off her she starts yelling "get out of your seat these seats are for paying customers". She makes them feel so uncomfortable that they usually get up and walk away.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Absolutely. If they don't want to give me $1 on stage, what the f*ck ever. I could care less.

I don't have the energy to waste on getting upset over it. At my club, you make your $$ doing dances, not stage.

I think they should be shamed and removed from the tiprail if they don't tip, especially when its busy. I've never felt degraded stripping until I'm up there naked for a damn dollar or two (or nothing!) and the tiprail is full of people. I usually don't yell or say anything to them, but I have gotten dressed on them while onstage and I will give cheapasses a dirty stare as I exit. It is the TIPrail so you should tip. The tips that can be made onstage do add up, so if you are not paying then get off the rail.

I applaud this post!!! I fully agree, if guys are gonna sit at the stage, the decent thing to do is tip the girl up there performing. If you're not gonna tip, then don't bring your worthless ass to the stage!!! This is the main reason I flatly refuse to remove my top when there aren't any tips. That's my way of saying "FUCK YOU TOO!"

I couldn't resist making a remark loud enough for non tippers to hear while I tipped a girl on stage. Her performance was good and she deserved to be tipped.

I tease them about being 'shy'. That usually gets them to open the wallet up.

However, calling bullshit can really work sometimes! I work with a girl who makes a KILLING on stage, and it's because she pulls off the 'bossy hustle'. Girl has no problom standing up for herself. She'll blatantly tell guys 'you owe me another dollar for staring too long' or 'I don't take shit from assholes, now fork it over' - and they do it! hahahahaha

I'm glad SOMEONE gets away with telling the pl's off, because at my club theres too many of em!

Ok, this is my first post, so Hi! I have been on this site for a short time now & have been casually reading through the posts, but THIS ONE, MADE ME comment!

I have been dancing off & on for 11 years now. I was gone for 6 yrs & made my Grand Come-back a little over a month ago. I work at a club in Riverside County, CA (I don't wanna mention the name or anything.. at least not yet! ). I have never seen anything like what I see at this club. It's a topless bar that claims the title (incorrectly) of Gentlemen's Club, when in reality, it's a Sports bar with half naked women wandering around.. HOWEVER... for some reason, the guys DON'T come to the stage AT ALL! They do if asked/told to, guilted to, or there is no where else to sit. THEN.. they DON'T TIP!!! AND to make matter's even worse, the common practice of this place is, once you are done onstage, you walk the room & ask for your tip from the custies at the tables! So, now.. I'm possibly dancing a 2 song set, for NO MONEY on the stage & then having to BEG for it from them personally! On top of that, if you are sitting with a customer, every few minutes some other girl is coming by for a dollar! I understand, make your money, but isn't it still considered Rude to walk in on a dancer/custie convo?? At least I thought it was!!

Sooo.. did I miss a memo or something?? Is this crap going on anywhere else!! I am used to $1k nights, EVERY NIGHT, from my clubs in Dallas! Here?? I haven't even broken $200!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?!?! I know we're in a recession, but Jeez!! If you're that broke, stay the hell OUT of the strip club!!!

I haven't gotten to the "embarrassing them" point yet, but recently I've started asking, "And did you come in PLANNING on spending money?" When they say yes, I introduce myself with a huge smile & sit down. I am not ashamed to admit that I am there for the money! It's a STRIP CLUB!! I am not there to meet guys!!

(Sorry... kind of went on a little rant there for a minute... Little things in clubs really annoy me these days... **blush**)

I know exactly where you work, sweetness29. I'm not gonna say where, but I worked there too. I'm gonna agree with you about the annoyance of the tip walks. What happens if they call a special or you have to pee or something right after your set? You don't get any tips!
The thing that bugged me the most is that dancers and waitresses could compete with each other! The real problem about the tipping is because the bouncers and management refuse to make customers tip. I mean, I've heard of girls getting in trouble for asking for tips at the rail. Come on! I used to yell at them all the time and luckily never got "in trouble" for it. But some customers are fucking douches and will complain to someone about it. A lot of them know that Renee chick and you know how SHE handles stuff. She'll tell girls to get dressed and go home. It's like high school in there. I once got written up for not dancing for a bachelor because he insulted me.
Have you thought of the Rhino in Rialto? There's probably more money and less drama there.

I used to shame people who weren't willing to tip after being asked. Now I work at a place where tipping at stage isn't mandatory. It's made me realize how much more relaxed I am when I don't have to CARE about stage money. I still usually get tipped, it's just not something to stress over.
