    Default wii fit results

so now that the wii fit has been out a while, has anyone used it regularly and if so what were your results?

sure pilates videos would be cheaper but wii fit would hold my attention way longer.

    i use it.

i seem to maintain weight rather than lose. it's more fun than a treadmill though.

I've thought about buying it too and was wondering if it really helped you get fit/toned. In the meantime though, my arms are getting a good drum workout on Rock Band right now. That game's so much fun!

I think it sucks for cardio (I am not ok with running around my living room) I do run on an elliptical 40 minutes a day so i don't really need wii cardio
I do like the balance games a lot
I haven't done any of the strength training or much yoga
I mostly ski and play the game where you balance the balls into the holes and tightrope

My friend uses it for toning and core work, not so much for weight loss or anything.

i hate the running exercise, i feel like i'm not really doing anything. i'm running in a circle because i can't stand still... i hate it.

    cardio on it sucks, imo.

I've had it for 38 days now, use it 6 times a week for an hour, and am down 11 lbs! I love it. It really keeps me motivated to eat right because I know I'm weighing in the next day.

For the cardio. Yes, the running is gay. I never use it. Honestly, so are the balance games. There is very little movement involved in them.

Two things I had to get were wrist weights and I also got some scrap wood from Home Depot to make a platform. I use those for the step, and will often do 20-30 minutes and get tired as long as I do lots of arm movements. I like that you can watch regular TV but still hear the motivator lady through the wiimote.

10 minutes on the hula hoop is really hard work too! I'll follow that with some boxing.

I use the 3lb wrist weights for a lot or the strength training exercises too.

thanks, the avatar is a pic that's like 2 years old

But I weigh now what I weighed in the picture. Weight slowly crept on lately, which may be in part to living with a guy and the 2 weeks I just spent in Europe.

How did you make your own stepper? I want to get one but they are like 80$!

it's not a stepper, it's just a step to elevate the balance board, so it's more like a step aerobic workout.

And yeah, hula hooping definitely works your abs.
