    Default Start Tommorrow No Lockers???

Hey everyone, Have been reading the board and appreciate all the great info. I start tommorrow and of course they do not have lockers. After reading some of the safety tips I was concerned. What advice can you offer when you don't have a locker. I am Worried about losing stuff , of course, and someone putting stuff in my bag. you know. And how do you keep people from screwing with your food and such. Sorry, I just got back from doing my app. and audition and didn't see much on this subject so if I missed something drop me a link. Thanks, for your help

Is there a house mom? If so, she could watch your stuff for you. I've never heard of a club without lockers.. that's weird.

My club doesnt have lockers either. I have a lock on my bag. I suppose someone could decide to go out the back door with the whole thing but it's the best I can do. I also try and make sure I don't have anything worth stealing cause than there is no reason to rip my stuff off.

    Try the housemom.

That's so weird that they don't have lockers. Where the hell do they expect you to put all your stuff? I would never leave my bag (locked or not), out in the open. What are your cell phone/wallet/keys, etc? Eeek!

Weird. I've worked in a club that was so full I had to leave my stuff on the floor ... and of course had a gorgeous ( and pricy ) bra stolen or accidently grabbed my first night there. So yeah .... get a luggage lock. I probably am going to in case this happens again.

There are these mesh metal things that you can use to secure your backpack to something when you travel and lock it up ... but it would be laughable if you can in toting one.

There are also these secure backpacks that you can lock to something ( more for future reference or for girls who travel than an actual suggestion in your case ... I think you'd be fine with a luggage lock ... the chance of a whole bag leaving the building is pretty slim ):

Don't wear any nice heels, jeans, shirts or bras that someone my want or that you will miss if it's stolen. Have your hair done and your make up. Get a wristlet that you can put your wallet, keys phone in and some touch up make up (lip gloss/shadow) and keep it with you.

As for food, just get a guy to buy you food or don't eat/ eat before you you.

basically the only thing that can get stolen is your clothes. I'd keep a back up pair of shoes and clothes in your car so if they do get stolen you can get a manager or someone to get that set from your car.

I work at a club with no lockers and have never had an issue.

Some girls bring little suitcases (roll-on size) and lock them with locks.

I used to lock my bag but don't even worry about it anymore. For some reason the day girls just don't steal from each other here. (Manager said it had been like literally 2 years or something since a real theft)

when I started they wouldn't give me a locker as it is their policy to not give a locker until the girl has been there for a few months....I left my stuff with the dj.

So, am I understanding correctly, you have to walk around with this little pouch on your wrist, containing your keys, money, etc.. the whole night while you are working?? I can't see how that would be feasible in the least.

I've never had to work at a club sans lockers, but definitely get a big lock for your bags. Also, see if you can keep your stuff (if you don't have too much) behind the bar or something where no one can get to it. I used to work at a club and a lot of the lockers were falling apart, so a bunch of girls kept their crap by the bar so mgmt could always see it.

And what are you worried about someone putting INTO your bags?

uhhhh yha. Tons of girls bring purses. When they say "purse" they don't mean some big ass LV bag, just a little wristlet or hand bag.

I personally don't do this because I have a locker, but 50+% of girls I know do use it. If I was worried about getting my stuff stolen, which I would be if I didn't have a locker I would do it. I single car key and a phone and your drivers license (everything else can be left in the car) isn't much at all.

There's a million more where that came from.

Another vote for a rolling suitcase with luggage lock. If there are any wall or floor attached counter legs similar non moveable things available you can go a step further and use a bike lock to keep the whole suitcase from being taken.

Hey, Thanks everyone for your replies. I've been busy at work and haven't had a chance to post. I went with a bag that I could lock the zippers. Our dressing room is right by the DJ, so so far it seems that the dj keeps an eye on things but I prefer to look out for myself. For me to compete with the girls that have been there a while, changing outfits seems to really help me stand out so I've gotta take some decent stuff to change into. I'm gonna look for a hard sided case like one of you suggested and use a cable lock to lock it down to the bench. Some of the girls lock their bags but most don't. But I would rather be safe, as most of my stuff is better that what I've seen anyone else wear. As for what I was worried about being put in my bag is manly drugs. I know that someone was busted 4 months ago at the club for pot. So I don't want it ending up in my bag and not know about it, you see my point.

we have lockers at my club and ive been there for 7 months and still haven't used one. we have cameras in the dressing room plus a house mom so i dont have a problem leaving my dresses/makeup out...but i would never leave money laying around..i think that goes for anywhere
