you could buy a box of hair dye remover from walmart. but it may be best to go to a salon.

I agree with pookie,
You should go to a professional to get it back to brown, then do it on your own after that. To do one color it's usually around 50-60. It beats trying it on your own, and screwing up, then having to go get it down too much chemical damage for your hair. Believe me out of all people that know about screwing up their own hair, I should. Just go to a place with a good reputation!

My mum coloured her own hair red for about 10 years and when she went back to brown she went to a salon. I think it's a good idea. Even if you go back to doing it yourself after that at least there wont be any disasters.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I highly reccomened goin to a salon for this...
If you must DIY, please avoid a permanent color and color removers, totally unnessacary and dmamaging. Use a semi permanent color a shade lighter than your desired result with a green base.
I'm a natural redhead, but I've been coloring my hair darker (I've been several colors, but always darker) for maybe a year now. I had it a burgundy color and then it faded out but was still darker than my natural red and I went dark brunette and it was just fine. I've been dying my own hair and had no problems!
I can dig up some pictures of my hair color(s) if you want.. I just didn't want to pic whore in your thread![]()

you'd have to strip your hair first then apply the new color. i would go to sallys because you can choose your activator, color, and they different color strippers to choose from...this is of course if you choose to do it on your own

^^ she's already been to the salon...
