Is Phoenix/Scottsdale Worth It Right Now?

Hi Ladies! I'm seriously considering auditioning at clubs in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area soon. Obviously, this state is having a pretty rough time, economically speaking. So I'm wondering, how is the business and money right now where you work?

In your opinion, would I be better off waiting a few months, or until things start to pick up? Or is this a better time to start, since I'm probably going to have to work a lot harder for whatever I earn (= better skills in the long run)? By the way, I'm doing this because I want to, not for quick money. So that's not really one of my concerns right now.

This question has been asked....and answered many times. Look around, search for Phoenix and you'll find good info. Although maybe some of it will be a few weeks old, trust me, I doubt Phoenix has changed much.

gosh when i used to dance there girls were pullin in 1100.00 a night sometimes. but that was back in 2000 , so i am positive it has changed. have you checked the dream palace or diamond girls, or are those places even open anymore??

You will make more money dancing at Phoenix strip clubs now than you will sitting on stripperweb asking if you should start dancing at Phoenix strip clubs.

Yes it's slow. Yes I make money. Yes my bills get paid. Yes I still make more money dancing part time than I would as an elementary school teacher with a master's degree.

I dance in Phoenix I just moved to Tucson a week ago but Phx is where I have always danced. In the summer it's sooooooooooooooooo slow and ya you still make money but it's pretty bad I think compared to what I'm used to. I've spent the summer traveling around to other places to dance and so are all the other girls at the clubs in Phoenix/Scottsdale that I work at- well the ones that are able to get away for a while to dance elsewhere. It's not good here right now.

This summer is slower than any of the six summers I have worked in Phoenix due to the real estate debacle. One out of every three dollars in Maricopa county is generated from the real estate industry. Take 1/3 of the money out of circulation and you can see the result on non-RE businesses.

Yep...what they all said. Super slow right now, and it really has been one of the toughest summers here.

I dance in Albuquerque and we're swamped with dancers from Phoenix. It's really slow here, so it must be really REALLY slow there.

If you're already living in Phoenix, and can get hired somewhere you really have nothing to lose. If you are intending to travel or move to Phoenix just to dance, I would say don't do it.
