As a former gymnast ill def watch the gymnastics. I like most of the individual sports such as diving. I dont really watch swimming or the track sports.
So what sports will u be watching??

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I'm gonna try and watch the equestrian events, gotta find out when they're on. NBC has the Olympics on like 50 channels so I should be able to find it!

mostly swimming, gymnastics, track and field, and equestrian (my fav).
my issue is that the equestrian all gets relegated to the second tier channels that i dont get.....grrrr! i'm hoping i can get a friend who does get the channel to tivo it for me.

HOw can ANYONE not watch the olympics w/o watching Track and Field. Ok, so I'm watching that, basketball, gymnastics (I have weak arms, so I envy them) and boxing.
One of my grandfathers boxers is over there in a match. He's a 17 y/o kid. I wish my grandad could be there to coach him. It sucks...he helped him get this far, and then the U.S. Olympic team has their 'own' coaches to train the boxers. Well, WTF about my grandad? If he hadn't taken this kid in, and trained him, I guarantee he would've be in the olympics..
Ok sorry, end rant!!!

i might if im channel flipping. i like gymnastics.
Never even been remotely interested.

im going to say probably nothing..never peaked my interest

For sure, I'll be watching the basketball, track events, tennis, and swimming. I'll probably also catch some of the track cycling, rowing, volleyball (indoor and beach), and maybe some gymnastics as well.
One of my sayings (paraphrased from "Dodgeball") is "If it's almost a sport, I'll watch it."
"Women, not girls, rule my world" - Prince
"No parking on the dance floor" - Midnight Star

Boycotting the games, so none of it.

I'm gonna watch the athletes at all the outdoor events hacking and wheezing on all that fine Beijing air.
Truthfully, I like the winter Olympics a lot better.
Former SCJ now in rehab.
I love figure skating, gymnastics, and boxing. If I get a chance I'll watch them, though I'll probably be too busy to watch any of it.

I watch pretty much all of it! It's all just amazing.

that ceremony was so zen. i'm glad i was in my a.c. though it looked hot . i needed to see that tho. it really lifted my spirits.

I dont normally 'do' the olympics, but that opening ceremony was riveting. I like the pretty events, gymnastics, diving, horsies.,. the 'sporty' ones bore me...

holy hell the opening ceremony was fantastic!
i spent some time in beijing in 2006 and loved it so much that i consider it a second home (that i have yet to return to), so watching the olympics now is very special to me. especially since it's the year of the rat and i'm born in a rat year.
anyway: swimming, diving, gymnastics and anything unusual (trampoline), or that showcases the landscape (mountain biking near the great wall/ming tombs). love it, love it, love it. i wish i had ti-vo. or a vcr.
