Here are some vacuum threads

I have a Dyson, just the regular "low-end"... I paid $300 dollars for it (it's the pink breast cancer one)... Anyhow, my mother's Hoover Wind Tunnel works just as well. I'm not for sure of the price difference, the only thing I really love bout my dyson is the easy empty at the bottom... So really the dust doesn't fly all around when you empty.

i have an Electrolux Harmony that i got off Amazon for maybe$260. I also have a dog. I love this vacuum cleaner! and i really used to detest vacuuming. a lot. as in broken appliance loathing. this one is little , cute( crucial to household choring) super quiet , has really strong suction, easy to operate, take apart, and is not a dusty mess when you change the bag. i am converted. i actually enjoy the job now ;i can even talk on the phone at the same time. she is gorgeous.
dyson= god. thats all you need to know.

Another Dyson fan here... I have two dogs and a lot of carpet (for the time being, we're installing laminate), I love it. However, all my previous vacums have been in the $80-$100 range, then I skipped into the $400 Dyson. Point being, I'm ignorant of any vacuums priced at $100-$399.
I have a Dyson DC08. It's the first Dyson I've ever owned so you know, I can only speak for it...
But if it had a dick.. I'd suck it.

I have a Kirby G4 and it rocks my socks. I shampoo my carpet like every month now and it dries in 45 min or less.
you live like an ivy vine
you can only survive by clinging onto trees
that's your flaw
put down some roots so you can stand on your own

the animal is no different then the grey one except for all the attachements which most people never use.
its just marketed different and a couple hundred more.

I have a DC-15, with the large roller-ball at the bottom (so easy to move and turn!) The motorized brush bar is kind of noisy, but thats the only negative thing I have to say about it. It does work very well. My only comparison is to a crappy $60 Dirt Devil that broke pretty quickly though.
I want a roomba the shopping channel sells them for about 200$. I have a couple of friends with them and they swear by them. They friggin vacum by themselves!
I have 2 cats and I was going through a vaccum every 6 - 8 months a year. Bought my dyson for $500 and it's the best thing I've ever purchased. It's voted #1 in Japan for years!!
it really is worth the money plus its fully warenteed for i think 5 years.
