    Default Taking My Measurements

So I am a retard and I am not exactly sure how to take my own measurements LOL!

Lately I have been having a hard time figuring out what size I am. The last few months when I have bought new clothes I wear anything from a size 2 to a size 6 depending on what brand it is etc. I ALWAYS used to be a size 7 but then I lost a little weight...and now I always have to try everything on because I have no idea what size I am anymore

I want to order some clothes online and need to take my measurements so I can see what size they say I am on their little size chart. So for waist and hips...where exactly do I put the measuring tape?

I've seen some people take waist measurements around the belly button area...however I don't understand how that helps me figure out what size pants I wear...since I certainly will not be wearing them at my belly button.

    Please help

Your waist measurement IS around your belly button. It's the narrowest past of your torso & that's where pants USED to come to, so it still works like that. I measure hip at my bottom hip bone-generally the widest part of your hip. Make sure the tape is held evenly horizontally. It goes over your butt, but shouldn't sag.

I already responded to you in the dress size thread . Have a tailor take your measurements. If you have a hard time buying clothes off the rack ... I don't know if it's a good idea to buy offline. I've done it and still have things lying around that I was too lazy to send back. It was a big waste of $.
