Thumbs down any body tried the clinical protection deodorant?

I got it and found out that it was not a solid. In my experience solids have always provided better protection. And I'm using Dove clinical protection and the label actually reads that it's a solid but it's not. I sweat even MORE than I do without deodorant when using this product. Has anyone else ever tried?

I just recently tried Secret Clinical Sport...it's okay, not worth 9 bucks though. Mitchum for Women is my all time stand by.

I find that Lady Mitchum works better than regular deodorants, but I'm not sure how well it works compared to clinical. I sweat like a racehorse, and I considered resorting to clinical but Lady Mitchum did it enough for me. See if that works first.

i used the secret one and it was ok at first but now that it's getting really hot i have to reapply it... plus it's kind of expensive for that small little amount.

I use the secret clinical strength too, I'm willing to invest the extra few dollars if it means a lesser chance of smelling bad. I definitely prefer it over any regular brand, but it is rather upsetting that it's a liquid. Liquid in warm moist place = smelly, right? I never really smell bad when I use it though, so I guess it's worth it.

I haven't used it, but thanks for the warning. Dove seems to work fine for me.. I used to sweat sooooo much in high school but now I think I sweat a normal amount. I may just try the lady mitchum next time though

omg, i could tell such a difference with secret clinical protection. i have really sweaty pits, and most deoderants wear off fast and i start to smell, but w/ the secret clinical protection i sweat less and when i do, i don't smell at all and it lasts a really long time.

i tried the secret clinical and to my surprise, it worked on me. i used to carry deodorant around in my money box at work and reapply after every stage set so i wouldn't stink up everything. now i only apply the clinical twice per night--no stink! wow!

Tried Secret Clinical, no bueno... not enough wetness or smell control. Dove clinical was okay, decent sweat control, but iffy smell control. Now I'm on Degree Clinical and that seems to work the best for me- haven't smelled bad or left sweat marks on my shirts since I started using it... Really, it's all so very strange to me since all the ingredients are the same!

Somewhere in between I used Mitchum because the anti perspirant ingredient in it is the same stregnth as the clinicals but at less than half the cost... bad, very bad. Difinately did not help with smell. The one I got was a clear solid and my underarms felt sticky all the time, too.

I really liked Certain Dri until the itching became horribly unbearable- until then, that stuff was the shit! Used it 2-3 nights a week and I did not sweat at all.

Now, the one thing I think helps tremedously no matter what is using it twice a day, particularly remembering to apply deoderant before bed. I had to look up the importance of this after reading the directions for Secret Clinical... taken from a hyperhidrosis support site:

"A recent study found that applying over-the-counter antiperspirants in the morning and evening, or just in the evening, was significantly more effective than applying them in the morning alone.

If you’re not sure you want to, or can’t find the time to apply your antiperspirant more than once a day, you can still improve its efficacy, say the researchers. Just change the time of day that you apply it. Studies show that applying an antiperspirant just in the evening, as opposed to just in the morning, gives better results."

I like the Secret clinical protection. It does work best if you follow the directions and use it at night though. You can also get persperex or certain dri but this one doesn't sting your delicate underarm flesh.

I've tried the Secret Clinical Deodorant. It worked for awhile, but I had to reapply it way more than suggested which eventually started to dry out my underarm so much that I would be extra itchy and rashed out.

I'm now using Dove solid deodorant. It's cheaper and alot more effective, with no side effects.

I agree with Happy that gel deoderants make me sweat more and feel really disgusting....bleh!

I actually just started using this stuff I found at the dollar store believe it or not! It's "Lady's Choice Cucumber Melon" and it's the bomb! People always ask me what kind of body splash I am wearing and compliment me on it....it is like deoderant/body splash in one I swear!

Secret clinical helped me a little bit then stopped working. I used to use certain dri which stains clothes and burns. It didn't work that great either. I then got a prescription for an antiperspirant (can't think of the name right now) and it helped but it burned and itched so bad that I had to stop using it, and my skin started scabbing and peeling. Now i'm just saving up for botox because I sweat a lot!
