We aren't "required" to tip out but it's "expected". Basically, you cant leave unless you've tipped them even though it isn't required.![]()
Unless they help me out during the night I just tip them the minimum $5.

I don't get why tipping the manager is useful at all. I'd rather tip the floor guys and/or bouncer because not only have I found out most make min. wage they look out for me as well. If it is important someone shed some light on it for me. I'm curious as to why this is ok.

well our floor guys are no more then glorified barbacks. they walk us out, and thats really about it. dont do much for us. i know thats not how all clubs are.

it's "suggested" at my club. i only tip the one i really like, and i tip him regardless of what i make (unless its nothing).

NO, dont tip the manager! Thats not what their there for.
Their JOB is to help make dancers happy, and keep a good environment.
If hes that cool do him favors in other ways! like offer to pick up a shift that needs covering, or something along those lines.

My manager DJ's too, I only tip if he DJ's for me.

At one of my clubs, yes. I tip them because they are very professional and very understanding if the night is dreadful and I really want to go without a fuss. I consider it a form of 'insurance' so that when I do well I can tip accordingly.
I tip manager, bouncer who walks me to my car and dj pretty much the same amount each unless the dj was able to help me make a ton of stage tips by timing a set perfectly for the right crowd. Bouncer always gets at least $5 if not $10-20 unless I had a horrible night and dj always gets close to $10 or more unless I didnt go up on stage all night.
When I have a slow night and can't tip at all, everyone understands and is fine with it because they know they've been or will be taken care of later.

Don't tip managers! Their pay scale is not tip dependent. Bouncers, bar staff, hosts and DJs are all hired with lower wages with the assumption of being tipped.
Some stupid girls started tipping all the managers at my club and now one of them makes comments to me about how he should be tipped![]()

We're required to tip the manager on shift at my club 10%.![]()

I've been at some clubs where it's customary, some where it's not, and some where it's forbidden.

^ Yup~

I've never tipped a manager. I don't think it's expected at my club - I've never seen it. (Although this makes me wonder. When I get to work, the GM will usually lead me around - usually to the table with the biggest spenders, and introduce me. He does this daily now! Is he fishing for tips??)
Also - how much do you tip the bartenders? I have been contemplating this. I don't order drinks. I'll get a Coke once or twice a shift. Should I be tipping them for this?

We have to tip the managers at my club because they also play the bouncer role. If they didn't have to do that-- HELL NO, I wouldn't tip them.

I tip to show appreciation for favors granted.
never. ever.
