    Default going wavy/curly

My hair is naturally wavy, and for years I've been forcing it to be straight, only for it to be wavy again by the end of the night. So I think I'm going to 'go with the flow' and lessen the damage I do to my hair. But I need help!

So I was thinking for a casual everyday thing, something like this:

(Yeah, this pretty much is my hair, just more wavy)

Then for nights when I'm wearing around garters and such, something 20s like this:

Oh, one more thing I want to try...

So, keep in mind I'm a total noob with hair. I have one of those smaller curling irons and then I have one of the bigger ones (.25 inch, 1 inch? Something like that). Lots of hair products to choose from, but obviously I want to avoid crunchy hair.

Advice is appreciated, I usually just get frustrated and cut most it off but I'm trying to avoid that...

I have naturally curly hair too, straightened it forever and now stopped and mostly wear it curly....mine I leave dry natural, I just put product in it to control frizz and then use a glossing spray...

My advice is to do that, and then see how it turns out. If you want more "curls" than waves you can always take a small barelled curling iron and make a few (six to eight) doll curls throughout your hair to give it more "Bounce"

I would go to a salon that specializes in curly/wavy hair. I'm a noob to hair too -- until I finally went to one of these specialty salons a few months ago! They are so helpful.
