So studies say most men prefer straight hair over curly, and a lot of you say you make more $ w/ straight hair...
What about wavy vs. straight? Do waves hurt your $ too?

You kidding... I make MORE money with my hair all wavy and curly and I get TONS of compliments on it.
But I don't have super tight bouncy curls. I have large waves.

I think straight hair suits me more coz that's how my hair is naturally. I have it wavy sometimes for work and it honestly doesn't make a difference to my $$$$
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
I always made more money with the loose wavy, glam look. Victoria's Secret hair (I hate that description though). The last couple of years most of the girls I worked with seemed to just roll out of bed and come to work, very little makeup, straight, flat hair (not even really shiney), I looked completely different, which is probably why it worked.
Haven't worked in about 2 yrs though.
i make more straight or if i curl the ends only. i guess waves are too intimidating for some? or maybe I just feel sexier when I straighten it....

I think its whatever suits you best that makes you money. Before I got a wig I wore my hair straight with extensions.

I make more when I curl my hair... Which is strange because I think it looks better straight...

I don't think it makes a difference.
I agree with thesexkitten, good hair is good hair.
And I do the same thing about making it match my outfit. I will only wear my corset if I can curl my hair or make it bigger.

This is really weird to me....I have more people tell me that I look ridiculously young when I curl my hair, but curled v. wavy doesnt effect my money. Even tho I look younger with one style! I guess maybe b/c my club has a wide variety of girls whereas some clubs have clones?
It really boils down to what works for you.
I have seriously straight hair and find it funny to see all the dancers madly straightening out their hair while I am curling mine. Anyway I had long straight hair for years and found recently I was losing repeat dances to all the brunette girls in the club, especially now that every man and their dog has really long hair by the virtue of extensions. I decided to chop mine off mid length and have been curling it. For me it is really important for me to look very different from the other dancers because not only am I a Mrs Average mother, I'm not much of a talker so I rely greatly on repeat work by giving a seductively killer dance. Guys come looking for me months after I gave them a dance and I don't want them throwing their $$$$ at the wrong girl.
I personally LOVE my hair straight, but it's naturally clurly....like, big huge doll curls.
I honestly dont really notice a $$$ change either way, but I do get more compliments on the hair when it's curly....

I can barely bring myself to put on makeup,so I have never curled my hair to work. It's straight so that's how I wear it.
i wore my hair straight last night, and my manager told me she loves it, i should wear it like that all the time. But when i leave my hair naturally curly i get a lot of compliments on it from customers.
i think it depends on what you are wearing, and your mood.

i think it depends on what looks good on you.
It's easier to wear my hair wavy... because that's how it is naturally... it's sorta straight with big waves in it... but I usually flat iron it for work. The one day I was in a rush and wore it wavy to work I happened to make less money... maybe it's a coincidence or maybe I just happen to look better with straight hair.

I flip my hair all of the place and constantly put my hand in it and it gets so sweaty curls would look horrible in seconds.
I straighten mine because naturally it's puffy and a little wavy but the puffiness is awful. Once I start sweating it gets wavy and I get tons of complements from my "raunchy" long, dark, wild hair.
If it's a flat hair day I'll leave it as is but I do feel sexier when I straighten it.

my hair is naturally very curly..... i've worked with it in it's natural form as well as pin-straight (many many times. flat iron junkie)
and i find that i make the most when i let the back soft-wave (i have to control it to stop it from super-curling) into a wavy "just-fucked" looked. i straighten the front to frame my face.
for me... messy waves seem to work best.
but i can tell you this... when i let it go curly for months and then straighten it everyone is like OMG YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO GREAT STRAIGHT... and when i straighten it for months and then let it go curly everyone is like OMG YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO GREAT WITH CURL IN IT.
and each time people tell me "never go back" to the "old way".
lol *shrug*

Two things:
I tend to go with "romance novel" language to construct my look, and the heroine is always "peering out from a tangle of curls". Maybe it's just me, but I always feel sexier if my hair is curled. (It's super straight naturally)
Also:
Science says! Most of beauty is, at its root, demonstrating that you have good genes and no parasites. (seriously!) Shiny, healthy, and most especially voluminous hair says to guys' animal brains "Hey! I don't have a tape worm and would be great to mate with!" Curl tends to make hair look bigger without looking ratty, hence, guys' limbic systems say "Hey! Pay attention to her! Maybe if you show her you have lots of resources to support off spring, she'll allow you mating privileges! Give her lots of money!"
Anyway, I happen to like curling my hair, even though it's a huge pain in the butt. Thats just me.

I've worn both, but prefer it straight because it's alot less maintenance. Either look works well for me and is well received at work. I try to change it up to keep it interesting. People always notice and it's much appreciated.
Always keep them guessing, but only wear a look that you can rock!

I've worn straight wigs, curly wigs, blond wigs and black wigs. I don't think men can tell the difference between wavy and curly. Anything that's not straight is curly to them. LOL. So honestly, I don't think it makes a difference. It's all in how you carry yourself.
