I must be the only one who doesn't get into Lush. I bought some stuff around March and most of it is still under my sink, lol. I like it, but taking baths is kind of boring.

My eldest sister is like that, I bought her lush for christmas once. Found it in her bathroom rotting in summer.

All she says about lush is `Its a bit expensive isnt it?`

I dont understand it at all

Okay, I was reading this thread and thought that this stuff could make a great gift idea. ... Then I saw this post. Whoa! How likely would it be for something like this to happen? Rarely, somewhat likely, often enough to be concerned with buying as a surprise gift?

My GF takes baths daily, and uses things like espom salts.

Thanks for your feedback, wouldn't want a gift to result in an unintended side effect.

I use the Daddy'O shampoo a few times a week,... I bought the Retread conditioner and you're right, it does suck!! I really like the shampoo, but it's expensive, so I dunno if I'll buy it again.

Bubble bath in general can give me YI's.....(yes, I can wash inside the coo with soap, but put bubble bath anywhere near it and it's a different story!)
ive never had any problem with anything from them, and i take baths a lot.

This depends on the woman of course. If she gets YI's from bubble bath, I would steer clear of any bath-related treats just to be safe. Mr. Bubble even gives me a YI.

Of course, if you don't know if she's susceptible it might be a weird subject to bring up!

I've thought about using them every day... but I just don't go out of my way to take a bath every day. Besides, I'm cheap. I have to go out of my way to keep myself from going, "I broke the bath bomb in half so this bath is costing me $3... I'd better enjoy it!" Yea, cheap... I can't help it.

Well since she loves her bubble baths, I'm going to cross my fingers that we won't have to worry about the YI issue.

...So I visited the Lush retail store in my area and picked up a variety of the bath bombs for my gf to try out.

Got her two each of the Happy Pill, Tisty Tosty, Sex Bomb, Think Pink, World Peace, Golden Slumbers, Honey Bee & Waving Not Drowning. If she finds a few she really likes, then I can get those going forward.

Also got her some soap bars to try with the bath bombs.

I'll report back to let you know what she thought of them.

Thanks everyone for the gift idea!

i use bath bombs to reward myself after work, when my joints are aching & i need relief.

plus it gets the stripper stench off me.

lately i've even gotten into the habit of falling asleep in the tub!

Okay, so the bath bombs were a hit, and she loved how the soap lathered up.

So, hopefully she'll be able to narrow down her favorites to 2 or 3 going forward, but soe far she's likes them all. heh.

Quick question ... Like I said I was hoping she'd be able to narrow down her favorites so then I could pair them with the bath melts, bubble bars, & soap. Does anyone else do this, or is that too over the top? Are the bath bombs enough, or do you like to add in a bath melt as well? ... or do you use a bath melt sometimes in place of a bath bomb?

    Thanks again.

^ They all do different things. I personally prefer a bath with half a bomb, a piece of a melt and a chunk of bubble bar.
Th bubble bar provides luxurious bubbles and smells wonderful, the melt makes your skin soft and silky and I have no idea what the purpose of the bombs are, they don't really impress me very much but they make the water a pretty color and add more aroma.

Of course, she also will need a Buffy bar to make the skin as silky as possible. Buffy is amazing.

My favorite combo is the big blue ballistic along with blue skies and fluffy clouds paired with a melt of some sort, I like the Caldrons something melt.

My favorite bubble slice is The Comforter. It smells so fuckin good I can't help but jus soak and sniff the bubbles, LOL.

Oh..Angels on Bare Skin is a face wash and it's the best I have ever tried out of all the face washes in the world. It cleared up my acne and made my skin feel smooth and soft and clean.

There is also a method and proper order of how you put things in the water when mixing items. I like to use the melt first, then the bubble bar which I use a strainer held under the running water ( that gives for better bubbles) right before getting in, use the bomb so it floats around yuo fizzing as you soak. Relax and soak and allow the water to soften the skin, then use the Buffy all over, soak some more, use Alkamaar soap to shave with, maybe Rockstar soap to wash the rest of you, soak some more, pour a glass of wine and soak some more, get out, wrap up in a big fluffy towel but don't dry off. Just lay in bed and air dry. Fall asleep.

I'd get bored using product from one line. I love Lush, but there are so many great products and brands out there!! I don't have time to take a bath everyday, now would I want to. I find their shower gels a bit drying and their hair care is crap (for me anyway.

I am definitely a product whore of many brands.

I just used my last bubble bar today. That official is the end of my massive BOGO Xmas sale collection.

Majorly sad that I have no more Lush.

    Oh dude!

    You have NO idea, lol!

I like certain scents, so i tend to buy products with those smells, then I layer them in the tub. Like a Honey Bee bomb, with a Ma Bar BBS, and Honey I Washed The Kids soap. All have the honey-toffee smell.

The worst is my Big Blue combo though, lol.

Big Blue, Floating Island, Emperor of Ice Cream, Sunny Side and Pineapple Grunt soap. Takes you straight away to a tropical beach, ahhhh.

I mix a Think Pink, with a MMM, Creamy Candy BBS, and Rock Star soap for the kiddos to have a pink bath.
