Does anyone know if you can buy Aveda colors for home use? Even from a sneaky source?

No, you can not. And unless you really know what you are doing you shouldn't try to either as the tones have to added in gram per gram. Each color has a recommended grams of tone.

rats!

I've been thinking about getting my hair colored w/ Aveda. I heard it was the most gentle hair color solution. Is that true?
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"
I think so, the permanant color is 97% naturally derived.
I don't use Aveda haircolor anymore because it fades twice as fast as any other. I love hair color from JC Penny. I still don't know how to get professional hair color from anywhere besides the salon, sorry. Ebay maybe? I wanted to get some Paul Mitchell color at a store where they sold it, but they actually required a cosmetologist license! Darn!

how are aveda salons? theres one by my house and im sorta curious.
I recently started going to Aveda and they are awesome. Their color and even bleach seem really gentle. The bleach lifts super light and isn't at all brassy. I guess each salon would be different, but the all the ones around here get raves.

i use aveda because 'normal' hair colors give me a ring of red contact dermatitis all the way around my hair line... itchy and ugly!
aveda doesn't make me react. the color lasts well.
the salons are great - thing is, while the last salon did the color beautifully, they absolutely BUTCHERED my haircut to the point that i cried the whole way home.
i object strongly to paying $150 for something wretched... *shiver*
in my area there is only ONE aveda salon chain and i refuse to give them any more of my money.
the products are great though.
