I have had ecxema in the past but it's under control now.

Try to relax as much as possible. Yoga, sex, just don't stress (yes I know easier said than done)

A lot of people say that coconut oil is supposed to be great...I guess like this:

    good luck!!! Christine

    6. Tanning. I know its bad for various reasons, but it REALLY makes my exczema go away.

    Anybody else have any advice?
Not any extra advice, just adding agreement-
I have it on my shoulders/arms. I got a tube of 1% cortisone cream (which I guess is really strong?)from the doctor, and it makes it go away right away, and makes it stay away for a week or more.
Tanning takes a lot longer to make it go away, but it's like the constant tanning moisturizer helps it go away.
OOh, umm, maybe a bit of advice, maybe not- my skin is super sensitive to dyes/perfumes and I've noticed my excema gets worse if I don't use dye/perfume free laundry soap and softener. But that could just be me- my skin's always been more sensitive than most people's.

I did not read any of the other responses ( I'm tired lol). What works for me is using Curel Anti-Itch lotion. It contain ceramides which are naturally found in the skin and have been helpful for curbing flare ups in the future. I use St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter Boday Wash ( Because it is hypoallergenic). I switched my facial cleanser to CeraVe (contains ceramides and hyluranic acid), I get the hydrating one and let me tell you it does wonders. I only use Alba Cream Moisturizing Shave Cream (Mango- Vanilla) because it doesn't strip my skin, but if you choose to use this product make sure you use a thin layer and rinse the rasor often. I make sure to wash ALL of my bedding and clothing in Tide Free and Clear (again it's free of dyes and perfumes so it reduces skin irritants that normal detergents tend to have). I eat lots of vegetables ( I have no clue if that helps tho).Try to buy products the National Exzema Assosication reccomends, not including Cetaphil which I find to be crap... Hope that helps, Exczema can be a real B*tch

I had it on my neck and I would mix A+D cream with hydrocortisone cream and benadryl cream (for itch) - and that worked wonders!

Strengthen your immune system. Honestly, I guess eczema is a blanket term for skin irritation that results in a dry surface. So I guess it must just be an allergy to something you do not know of, or baby psoriasis.

"oil of cajeput" is a natural sure fire way to heal any skin issue from an abscess to eczema. find it for about 10 bucks @ local health food store, its liquid and smells like strong herbs maybe a little like tea tree oil. get the oil and rub on area 1-3x daily you will start being healed immediately and completely healed in a week or so depending on severity.
the oil comes from a tree in mexico its a natural antibiotic and pesticide. Cajeput oil treats skin rash, infected pores like acne or boil, any type of skin parasite (the oil shocks the heck out of 'em), a couple drops in the nose or throat will clear out nasal or throat congestion, stuff even helps with arthritis pain. if you don't mind smelling like campho phenique all day versus skin issues its waaaay worth it and will save $ on otc drugs.
