What is the least amount of money that you would accept on a nightly basis before u would just give up stripping FOR GOOD?
Less then 50
Less then 100
Less then 200
Less then 300
Less then 400
Less then 500
Between 500-800
Between 800-1200

That's so hard coz u have to take some shit nights in this job.
Do u mean like every night u work it's X amount?
Coz I have had some awful nights but then the rest are really good.
I picked less than $500. Of course I have nights where I make even $200 occasionally but if it was on a nightly basis then I'd have to say less than $500 coz I work 3 nights per week and would have to make at least that for stripping to be worth it as compared to starting my career.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
Yes like if u made the same amount every night, how low would you let that amount get before you hung up your heels?
it depends on what day and if its day or night...
If i consistently made less than 300 on a fri/sat I would have to give up. If I work a dayshift during the week I'd quit stripping if I consistently made less than 150.

It depends on my other options. Probably $200.
200 dollars, because I could make that much waitressing at a fancy restaurant.
So you're saying if you only made 200 dollars every time you worked consistently.... right??? not like 200 was the most you could make?
"Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above."

If I were consitently making less than $200/shift I'd find a new club. If I was consistently making less than $2,000/month I'd hang up my heels.

I picked $400. I never work more than 3 days a week, so I could still live on $60,000 a year...I guess
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

I said $200. If I was making $200 I wouldn't count on it as my main source of income but I would probably do it once in a while for some extra cash.
This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many variables. I picked less than $300 though. I generally only work Fri/Sat nights so if I made less than that every time I worked then I'd be unhappy. I need to make at least $300 on a crap weekend night to feel like it wasn't a total waste.

^^
I work 4-5 hr dayshifts, but I also picked less than 300. If I started making below 300/shift consistently, I would have issues. I don't want to work nights or work longer hours - so if I had to do either of those things, to make more $$$, I don't know..... I think what we do for is worth that - at least.

I chose under $200.
I only work 4 hr shifts so $50 a hour is ok for me at the moment. In a months time I will be in my fourth year at uni in from 9-5/6/7... every weekday and there just is no viable alternative to make that amount of money in such few hours.
But hey, this is just the moments minimum. I'm sure if i was accustomed to making more my minimum would be higher.

Less that 300 every night wouldnt be worth it to me.
If I made less than 400 a shift for any period of time, I would quit. But, I work 7 hour shifts... So this is hard to do most nights.

I only work 4-5 hour shifts, so less than $200-- but that's still shitty. If things don't change in time, I'd start looking for another club.
A similar thread came up a year ago, and a year ago I said I'd quit for under $300 a shift. But today I voted under $400 a shift. I'm not getting any younger and if I'm not making an amount to properly save and prepare for my dancer retirement than I'm seriously shooting myself in the foot. So I voted under $400. If next year, when I'm another year older and another year wiser I'll vote under $500.
I've said it before, but if I was 19 years old I'd be happy with a lot less. But I am pretty far from 19.
I work 4, 6 hour day shifts a week.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

I work 6-8 hr shifts. I'd love to say 400, but in LA right now that simply isn't a reality, even for my hours. I'm saying 300. LA blows goats.
For my 6 hours shift, I put 200. If I was consistently making 200 or less, I might consider a career change.

I put less than a hundred. That would seriously suck ass, but I wouldn't quit because I like dancing, my club is VERY flexible, I get to do whatever the hell I want, I'm my own boss, and it would still be more than what I would make at McDonald's, which would be my other option. I've worked at McDonald's and it was WORK. I am in school and will be leaving out soon, so I don't need much for retirement and I have a hubby who makes great $$ and takes care of the majority of the bills, so I don't need much. As long as I could make a couple hundred every week, I'm set, and still able to save.
Much depends so much on the economy and an areas cost of living but for my area in this current economy, I choose a min. of $200 a day. I need at least a grand a week for sure.

$400 per night is the minimum. Obviously there are going to be a few nights here and there where I'll make less, but on a regular basis, $400 would be scraping the barrel.
