    Smiley changing clubs...need encouragement.

I am sick and tired of going to work at the club I have been at for 6 years.

This club has been going down hill for a couple of years now, ask Crow2, about the AC and the running joke it has become here in our town. It just now got fixed after 2 years of being broken.

Tonight I go to work and the lights above the stage got "fixed", they are now all colored strobes of the variety that blink too fast and make you sick to your stomach. even customers were complaining. They barely could stand to look at the stage it was that bad. even with my beautiful new spray tan I LOOKED DEAD UP THERE.

My hubby is the DJ at this same club, tonight together we maybe collectively made min wage. Sad very sad. On top of it all they have neglected to pay him with no explanation as to why for 4 weeks now. Even our manager and bartenders haven't been paid for the same amount of time.

So I took the advice of other threads on this site and called another club I used to work at, They will let me come back, they thought well of me there and i fit in for whatever that counts for.

I'm scared though, I haven't changed clubs in 6 years. that is a long time. I dread and look forward to being the dreaded "new girl".

I need some encouragement so I can go in with my knees not shaking so bad tomorrow night.

I look forward to going back to The Longbranch in Louisiana.

You'll be fine.. I just went through the same thing - left a club I had been at for over 3 years to one 3 hours away where I didnt know anybody .. I was really nervous but it has been great (except for the hotels and driving) I liked the club better= better mood= more money!! I think 6 years is too long -- I'm sure you will benefit from the change in scenery and you wont feel sick on stage!!! Sorry I'm a lil tipsy

You'll do just fine. Yes, you will have to be the dreaded "new girl" but who cares. You built a good rapport with your last club, so obviously they like you enough to let you come back. There WILL be money to be made at the new club.

Remember: You deserve more than minimum wage!

thank you, i needed that about now. my stomach hurts with jittery nerves on the driving to get to the club thing. I totalled out my truck on the way to work there last time which is why i had to go back to the crappy club. and fear of doing it again has kept me from being brave enough to go back until tonight's strobing induced migraine.

I can understand being nervous, but I don't understand your feelings about being the "dreaded new girl." Certainly you'll do great at your next club.

I may be completely wrong here, but is this the same club that fined you when your hubby went to the hospital and you left work? (could have you confused with someone else though)

Best of luck, babe! Think of it as a brand new adventure in your stripper career. Sounds like your club is turning into a dive, and it is time to move on to bigger and better things! Let us know how everything goes!

Try to think of the stomach butterflies as EXCITED nerves rathe thna frightened nerves. This is a great opportunity to experience new things, and liven your work life up.

Well then, I'm happy as hell that you're leaving. Good luck with your new club. I'm sure you'll do great!

Good luck! I hope the change does you good. I'm about to be a new girl myself so I understand the slightly nervous feeling.
