    Default "Going out" outfits

This may sound silly, but how many "going out" outfits do you all have? When I say "going out," I'm referring to going to dance clubs, nice dinners, lounges, etc. I'm not talking about a random dinner out at Outback Steakhouse.

I'm asking bc I feel like I waste too much money on outfits, especially considering the types of outfits I buy most are the ones that I wear when I go someplace nice. I don't really care so much about my "everyday" wear, so i wear the same stuff over again.

At the moment, I prolly have like 12 outfits that I can wear out. Am I justified in wanting to buy more, or am I just wasting money that I really should be saving?

well, if you spend $1000 on clothes....in ten years, you have clothes you don't want to wear anymore.

if you save it and earn interest on it, you have about $2000.

I actually had a random dinner at Outback Steakhouse tonight! LOL.

I live by this philosophy: If I am not absolutely in LOVE with it, I won't buy it.

    Saves me tons of $$$$$!

more than i could possibly count. but i go to the same club almost every weekend, and i refuse to be an outfit repeater. obviously i have my staple items like my nice expensive jeans that are okay to repeat, but i have to wear them with a different top.

dinners and stuff don't count, i will repeat clothes then, but as i go to the same club and always take lots of photos and see the same people i like to be seen in something different every week. i have sooo many dresses haha. the only time i'd repeat a dress in that club would be if the first time i wore it there was nobody there or i didn't take many photos that night.

I have more party clothes than everyday clothes- it has always been that way. I'm just not drawn to those items. I have 0 work clothes- not even something to wear to a job interview and that's terrible.

absolutely none at the moment. but i'm not 21 so I don't really go to bars/club/lounges.

i'd rather spend my money on nice workout clothes or a new bike. going outside and is my "going out"

12 is a lot. I have a bunch but I can never seem to find anything I like when I'm getting ready to go out.

I don't have enough at the moment. I was going through my Facebook pics today so embarassed. In the 10 times of going out I was looking at, it seems as if I wear the same shit everywhere. I just have my staple hot outfits that are comfy and look good. I have probably 6 great tops and 2 great bottoms I always turn to, at least now in the summer. I'm in AZ and even at night skirts and tank tops are pretty much all that work, so I have my 2-3 mini skirts and sexy shorts and a few more tops I love.

I have a few things but I can't wear most of them right now. I am going to buy some new things once I start work. I don't go out all that much though.

I have lots and lots and lots of party clothes. Like Darcy said, if you go out a lot you can't do repeats that often. I try to buy relatively inexpensive dresses and dress them up with nice shoes and accessories.

I have more 'going out' clothes than 'daytime' clothes and I don't know why. Honestly, I don't go out that often, but when I'm at the mall, I'm always drawn to sexy, sparkly stuff! My boyfriend made a comment about that at the mall this weekend, "You have a million shirts just like that, why are you trying it on?!" .. lol

3 or 4. Before the kids, more like 40-50. Now, I never go out, so what's the point. I have a ton of classy, going to dinner clothes, but hardly anything for clubbing.

I hardly ever go out anymore..and when I do its to laid back places so I dont really care. I'm pretty much over my clubbing partying phase so I have my fav jeans and cute tops and a cpl really nice dresses for things like romantic dinners with hubby or meetings with higher up producers and such where I need to look sophisticated and classy.

I have a couple of formal dresses, maybe five casual/ dressy outfits (like that you could wear out with your bf's parent's or to an office interview), a handful of 5-10 slutty shirts to wear with jeans when I'm going "out", a few corsets and whatnot for the goth clubs, and a little bit of other stuff in-between. Most of my closet is fully of Pj's, undies, and casual clothes or sun dresses. I feel like that is enough but if I'm going somewhere special, I'll go out and buy a new outfit.

There is a lot to be said about solid color shirts that will flatter you and nice skirts, pants and jeans that are interchangeable.

I have maybe 1 or 2 "sparkly" shirts that would only work in the club. I have a ton of tops that I can wear with a cute pair of jeans, accessories and nice heels and go out in them or I can wear them in the daytime and dress them down. I try to dress nice, kind of like I'm going out when I go into work so I buy clothes that work for that too.

I actually just bought a bunch of new stuff yesterday, I got 7 tops and there is only 1 that would only be appropriate in a club or for dancing. The rest could work for the club but could work for daytime as well if that makes sense? Maybe I'll take pics later

I don't have many 'going out' outfits because I don't 'go out' all that much. Now if we're talking about clothes I have to have for conventions or radio interviews or shit like that, I've got 8 or 9. I buy all of them at second hand places or TJ Maxx though.

Fuck full price, and fuck the mall. I'm a cheap bitch like that.
