    Default Dancing In Your Dreams

Does anyone else dream about work? It might be because I'm new to this, but I dream about dancing and/or the club, almost every night.

This can't be healthy! SW marathon-sessions all morning, being at the club in the afternoons, and then coming home to sleep and DREAMING about it too... so strange. Maybe I need to pick up a side hobby soon.

You're not alone. I dreamed almost every single night for the first two months I worked about stripping. I would wake up feeling tired, like I'd worked a whole night shift in my dreams! I would dream about being on stage mostly.

Constantly! I had a nightmare where we turned the VIP room into a sort of suicide booth. Instead of buying dances, customers were paying for the dancers to slit their wrists!

Yeah, I took a vacation after that one.

Used to dream about it all the time when I was new. Now I dream about it here and there, mostly about amazing pole tricks that I can't really do. I'm GREAT in my dreams!

once while I was sleeping my bf woke me up to tell me I was giving a lapdance in my sleep. Apparently I was winding my hips in bed. I must have looked like I was having a seizure.

when i dream about work , i have the same reocurring dream - the club is packed, everyone is making money, but i'm in the dressing room putting on my face and its taking me HOURS, and then i finally come out and all the crowds are gone
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

I barely dream about it now, but I most likely dreamed about it alot when I first started dancing. I also, when listening to a good song, would imagine myself doing a pole routine to the song, quite often. Then again, I love dancing.

i have that dream a lot too.

and one time i dreamed that i was a drag queen impersonating Madonna in her cone bra phase and I was directing all the dancers at my club in an American Idol inspired sing-off. Bruce Willis was there. It was weird.

When I don't allow myself about an hour between getting off work and going to bed, to unwind I guess, I almost always have work dreams.

Most of the time, I dreamed that I woke up and people were sitting around my bed like it was a stage and had put some money down. I would freak out and start 'dancing' in my sleep, which my boyfriend said was just kind of wiggling around and making stressed-out noises.

Now I have about an hour drive between work and home. That's not so cool but at least I don't have anymore nightmares.

I have been dancing for over 4 years and I stll dream about it. In my dreams I am always dancing for change! , another recurring dream is that i'm always misssing my stage or I am not wearing stripper clothes makeup and have to go on my stage in regular clothes (haha, like the reverse of the naked dream....i have to go on in jeans aghhh!) My clubs in my dreams are always a club i've never been in, I have never once dreamed about a club i actually work in.

When I first started dancing, I used to dance in my sleep. I'd wake myself up by trying to dance all sexy-like. Horizontally.

Friday I took a nap before getting ready for work. I dreamt that I was in the ladies' room at the club and found $60 in $5 bills in one of the stalls. Then I woke up. Fell back asleep. Dreamt that I sold a champagne room to a customer but woke up again before we actually got into the champagne room.

    I want my $260 dammit.

lol at the 'opposite of a naked dream'

When I first started I dreamt about dancing waayyyy more than I cared to. I also danced in my sleep - I'd wake up and catch myself in a goddess pose or rolling my hips . After a few months they stopped occurring so frequently. But I've also had frequent dreams about new and different things in my life - especially if the 'thing' is something I am learning. So its no surprise I dreamt about stripping.

Dreams are a way your brain processes a lot of stuff that happened to you while you are awake.

If you're able to remember these dreams, that's great! It can be a way of helping you identify concerns that you might have about what's happened, and perhaps how to address it (we often identify problems and solutions as third parties).

And before you go off, no, I'm not talking about simply concerns about stripping for a living. Could be concerns about body image. About how good a job you're doing. An interaction with a customer that went wrong.

Now, if we go into dream interpretation, we can have LOTS of fun! Snow White's dreaming of stuff she's learning could be her brain's way of showing her the "right" way; perhaps she was worrying that she wasn't. Meangirl's dream is quite interesting: nakedness in a dream suggests that one has nothing to hide, no agendas or ulterior motives. So what does wearing regular clothes indicate?

Hahaha, yes, I have and sometimes still do!

The one I have the most, and is my most fave is the one where Nicolas Cage and Mathew Machoweveryaspellit are in the club and buying dances from me and then I totally go all "Super Extra's Girl" on them.

    I like that one.

I have one bad dream about work though where all the vip rooms are turned into bad places where the girls are locked and tied up like prisoners of war. I take long breaks after those dreams.

Yeah. Those nights, I slept with the lights on because I would get halfway back to sleep and then worry about strangers in my room.

I used to have those dreams when I had first started... In my dreams the club was packed and I was constantly running around, counting dances, money, going to stage... in a constant rush (almost feverish) to find money. When I work I'm so not like that.

Now that my husband is the dance counter he says he has been counting dances in his sleep... lol

I had them all the time when I first started, like almost every single night. I think quite a few were stressful but I don't really remember. Happens a lot less now.
