Default Moving Cross- Country in 2.5 Hours!

I posted a while ago about wanting to move to SoCal.

Wellll in a couple of hours I am leaving NYC and flying to Orange County!

I am kinda sad, because I am leaving behind a boyfriend that I really wish a long distance relationship would work with. I really love him (despite feeling like I fell in love with another man :sigh and we're going to try to work things out. But given his track record and my recent adoption of a no-tolerance policy on cheating, I feel like we're doomed the minute he's not sharing a bed with me. Sad, but true.

I'm also getting super nervous because I'm starting a new job training horses again, which is what I did before I moved the to city and started stripping. I have been ebaying and buying all new gear for the past month, and I'm really stoked to be able to be around horses night and day again- I'm living on the property in a really nice equestrian community in the OC, and I've never lived on a "farm". Its my DREAM!!

All night I've been alternating between bawling over my boyfriend and being nervous about the job.

I know everything will work out, but in the meantime I've got crazy nerves! Going to go make some tea.

Oh honey best of luck to you!! I haven't ridden much lately but I had my own horse and three day evented as a kid and I am super jealous you are getting to live out your dream.

Youre a smart young lady. You'll do just fine wherever you land....

(btw does this mean your new york sugar daddy is up for grabs, because umm, I could fly out there....HAHAH! Just kidding girl)

Aw, this was once my dream, too. I even wanted a little apartment that was built in a stall, so I could sleep in the barn with the horses. Good luck with your dream, keep your head up and your heels down, and maybe your boyfriend will be better than you think.

Pursuing a dream is such an AMAZING feeling. Being homesick is a reality when you go to pursue a goal like this, but I bet you will adapt quickly and get into the groove of things !

I'm ok...but the "job" was NOT.

Cameras all over the place (boss SPYING on us at all times). Ok, thats fine. He's security obsessed maybe?

...So WHYYYYYY were there no locks on the door of the house I was supposed to live in? Fucking creepy.

NO riding. They *maybe* ride once a week, on trail rides. They own the NICEST sporthorses (I'm talking Olympic quality here) and they only mosey on trails with them.

13 hour work days. 1 day off a week, and even then I have to ask permission from my boss to leave the property.

NO INTERNET or AIR CONDITIONING in the workers house.

    The list goes on...

Awww that sucks my fiance would also love that job. He used to work on farm and was a horse trainer until he hurt his back. He always says how much he misses it.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. Maybe it's for the best? I know you're more of a "OTC hustler" but if you ever have to work in the clubs out there, it's hellaciously bad. I missed a lot about NY when I was in Cali.

No air conditioning? Are they insane?

My mom is safety obssessed...she is now convinced this guy is a creeper. She paid the $800 that it took to get me out of there in literally an hour.
