Default What is your "cut" in your club?

    I'm a bit pissed.

Usually, we are required to tip out $20 to the club, $15 to the DJ, and the rest of our tip-outs are our own business. The club also takes $5 from every $20 lap dance we do (if we do under 10, then they take $10 from every lap dance).

However, I got to work last night to find that the DJ tip-out has been changed to a mandatory $20 (which is actually fine, as long as they're doing their jobs), and the bouncers get $1 from EVERY dance we do. Meaning, we now only get $14 from every dance we do.

I work in a VERY small, nude, no-contact club. It's hard to make money there anyway what with the recession and extras girls. I think it's insane that the people who are already getting hourly wages are now making money off of the dances that WE are hustling. The dancers are dealing with the recession independently--so why are they bouncers getting raises??

Am I crazy for being pissed about this change? I just feel so helpless-like they could raise the bouncers' cut to $2 per dance, and I wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

And specifically, what are YOU required to tip out to various workers in your club?

I would be pissed too!! I'm used to working in Vegas where they dont take anything out of a 20 dollar lap dance...now where I work they take 7 dollars out of the dance AND the bouncers in the dance room expect a tip!! So what, I'm making 11 dollars per dance in a private room? Its shitty.

Well things are a lot diff here. We pay $40 house fee and keep 100% off all tips.

Aussies dont usually tip much so we are not expected to tip anyone else such as a DJ or bouncers etc. I give our bussy (the guy who picks up all the glasses, cleans the club etc) tips quite a lot coz he is so cool. He brings in chocolates for the girls all the time, keeps an eye on us when security cant seem to be found and just generally looks after the girls. He is awesome.

The only people tipped in strip clubs are dancers, bartenders, waitresses and (maybe) bussies. Sporadically security/bouncers if they help me "find" money Everyone else is paid by the club. There is less than a handful of clubs Australia wide where I have heard you have to compulsory tip the DJ.

At one specific local club, they did this even tho' the DJ never played "your music" or really did anything for me specifically. I tipped the Spearmint Rhino DJ when I worked there regularly with some of my 'funny money' because he was awesome and DID help me earn money (tho' this was totally optional).

Yet for the most part. You do not have a tip anyone. We don't have a huge "tipping" culture here.

New York basically has two business models. The first is to charge dancers a huge nightly stage (like $200+ in a few clubs) but allow dancer to keep 100% of money earned. The second is to charge dancers a low / no stage fee but for the club to then keep 50% of the proceeds from all private dance sales. The former encourages only high earning hard working dancers to return to the club on a regular basis (because mediocre dancers can actually lose money if their private dance sales don't cover the $200 stage fee). The latter encourages lots of mediocre dancers to show up, which fills the stages of mediocre clubs but also encourages extras.

Dancers at my club split the price of dances and CR fifty-fifty with the club. All tips given for lap dances, CRs, and stage are one hundred percent ours. No stage fees or tip outs.

Wow. Things are definitely alot cheaper where I work.

$30 house fee if we don't want to do any shows. That's all.

I don't do shows. I rather make the $160 in dances in the vip than miss 2 songs to prep, go up for a 3 or 4 song set and then miss another 2 songs while I go freshen up and then look for my next custie.

Regarding tipping... It doesn't happen much at my bar...

I'll tip a bouncer or dj at Christmas or when they help me extract $$$ from an unpaying customer.
Oh Canada, we stand on cars and freeze...

    $45 house fee
    $4 to manager
    $10 to first shift DJ
$5 to second shift DJ (my shift overlaps)
    $5 house mom
    $3 cash office
    $3 features counter
    $3 door guy 1
    $3 door guy 2
    $3 VIP host
    $3 skybox host
    $3 floor host 1
    $3 floor host 2
    $3 floor host 3 (sometimes a fourth!)

To a grand total of $86. This is if I work from 11 pm- 6 am on Thursday-Saturday. It can change by about $6 depending on number of floor hosts and door guys.

Takes a good 30+ minutes to get everyone to sign my damn paper so I can leave! And that's with me running around the club in my skripper heels!

    Oooo..
Dance specials- custie pays $35 for two songs and an item- we pay out $15
    LD's- $25 we tip out $5
Champange rooms- (cheapest scenario) 1/2 hour custie pays $400 (room, champagne, girl) and dancer gets $175

we pay house fees depending on what time we arrive....

i usually get there when house is $20, dj=$20, two security guys=min $6 each, housemom=$10, special dances where guys get hat/shirt/towel cost $30 and we give $10 to club, in cr 30min and we get $175, atleast we keep all of the $20 lap dance fee (i would reaaaly hate it if i had to pay part of each dance to the club, that seems TOTALLY unfair)....ehh i hate all of the fees, i wish we just paid a higher flat fee upfront......

Where are you at in Wisconsin...feel free to pm me that info.

The club that I was working at (just closed) we payed house fees of $20 for day and $25 for night shift. Tip out on day is $5 to bartender and night is a total of $15 min split btw 3 ppl. Dances were 20 and CR's were 200 we got 50% and it was a topless no contact club.

I'm going to start working at 2 different clubs one in Milwaukee and on in Darien WI. The one is Milwaukee is also owned by the same owner of my old club same fees apply I believe (my first day is Wednesday).

The club in Darien has higher house fees depending on what day/night it is with some discounts like if you come in early. The fee ranges from $30-$60 and you better have it when you walk in the door and you better be on time cuz their fines are insane, but I guess this discourages breaking the rules. THERE IS NO TIP OUT TO CLUB STAFF! This is my favorite part, although I would still tip them if I thought they did a great job or something. The dances are 25 you get 20. The VIP/CR is 150 you get 75 BUT you can make your own fee for the VIP/CR you just need to let the door lady know so she doesn't tell them it's 150 and the house still only takes 75. This club is topless but a contact club although I'm not sure of the level of contact b/c I don't start until tomorrow.

A girl I worked with at my old club now works in Darien too and started saturday and said it was totally worth it and whatnot so I'm looking forward to starting there tomorrow day.

I worked at a club in Beloit WI too and that was 20-40 house fee depending on the night and a min of 10 to the dj dances were 20 and you got 15 i'm not sure about VIP/CR cus I only worked there 3 days. Full nude high contact had a blast but it was an hour and a half away from me, but due to things lately I might end up working out there occasionally.

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions about WI clubs. HTH

    A text I got:
When a guy talks dirty to a woman it's sexual harassment, when a woman talks dirty to a man it's $3.95 a minute!
