    Default Bored, ALL the time

I think I have a mental problem (just one you ask?). I seem to feel bored ALL the damn time. If something new happens, like some event, Im excited about it. Then 10 minutes into it Im bored again.

I mean, I got the best life in the world I reckon. Perfect job, tons of freinds, great pole/lap gigs going on. My two dogs are fun and lovely. But Im bored all the damn time. I reckon Id need something new and massive to happen everyday twice a day to stop me feeling bored and thats not possible.

I dont know if its because at 32 I done enough to fill the lives of 3 women? Or if its something else. Im no masochist and I love being happy. In fact Im happy quite a bit, but still bored.

    So very bored.

    Anyone else feeling this?

I know this is not an easy think to ask, but is there any chance you've put the cart before the horse here? That you are developing a bit of depression and it is manifesting itself as boredom?

Same here, always bored, and I always thought that's what lead to my depression, but now that I read the above post, mayb not?

    Well could be not too.

Mostly you'd want to keep it in the back of your mind. Depression often creeps up on people very slowly over many years.

Frequent boredom where previously in life you felt far more interested/joyful/you-know can be one of the early symptoms. But of course it is just one symptom so by itself it's not much to go on.

I feel this way a lot but I've also battled with depression for a long time. My personal theory is that I avoid things BECAUSE of the depression, which causes the boredom. I don't go out an do anything about it because all I want to do is hide inside my house. Luckily, I have enough things that force me out of my shell.

Maybe you should consider some classes. Not necessarily for a degree, just in general. If you pay for them, you usually make the effort to show up, and then you get out of the house and meet new people and do new things. Actually, that's the only reason I am pursing a degree, to be honest. Boredom.

But yeah, lack of interest in actitivites = depression, but I wouldn't diagnose you yet. Your life's probably just a routine, and if you're an adventurous person that can be depressing.
