They suck.
Sometime during the beginning of the year, I lost my phone. It was uninsured and it was the Ocean version (which costs $400 off of the shelf). The Helio guy told me that it would be cheaper to just start a new plan and pay the early termination charge so that I could get the phone at half price. Oh, how I wish I hadn't listened to him! So, along with the pain in the ass of immediately changing your phone number without the aid of your previous phone's address book... SOMEONE didn't cancel my previous phone line although I was charged the termination fee. Then, when I called to correct the situation, they TOLD me that they would refund my account and cancel it. What they did, however, was credit my account that I had canceled and continued to bill it against whatever they had credited it for. I called AGAIN (never let someone automatically bill your credit card) when I realized the situation and spent FOUR hours on the phone with people in India. Apparently, they added my home line (which is through Cox) to the phone bill somehow during my last phone argument with them. They eventually sent me over to someone in America who finally understood what was going on and told me that I will be receiving the $400 check for what they had charged me during this whole mess.
I received the check today... for $50. This just gets worse. I can't mentally handle another four hours on the phone with these assholes and I'm sure they're counting on that. It is unbelievably painful.
1) What do I DO!?
2) I like having GPS and internet at hand... I haven't heard good things about the ipod. If anyone could recommend a good provider/ phone, I would appreciate it. I can't handle this company anymore.
