Any old tailor will do it.

They'll look the same if a good tailor did it.

just ask that the original hem be sewn back on and you shouldn't have any problems

I always get my jeans hemmed (can't find a good jeans on petite, and in juniors they're all long!). I just go to a regular tailor ang they look just fine.

I have been sewing for years, so I feel that I can answer with confidence that they don't "sew annything back on". No need. All they are doing is removing some fabric. Just ask that they hem them the same way that they were originally. Only shorter.

I just actually picked up a pair from the tailor today. It costs me about $9 and they always match the hems. And it's so nice to have jeans that fit just right.

I get my jeans hemmed because most of them are way too long for my short ass legs. It's normally less than $10 and they look exactly the same as they did before I took them in, I just don't swim in extra fabric around my feet.

Just wanna brag , I am in Asia right now and I just got four pairs of pants (three jeans, 1 pr. dress pants) hemmed for $11. Yes, $11. And they did a damn good job. I can't tell they're hemmed at all. Yay for cheap, good tailors.
But ya, back home, just go to a good one and you shouldn't be able to tell!

Nordstrom's will hem jeans for free if you buy there and charge a nominal fee for "original hems if they have a unique fray or look to them...
