    Default rave- fels-naptha soap

my house mom recommended this stuff to me to get out stuck-in makeup stains i had on a black bra that i had to wear that night for work. so far this is the best product i've used for stain removal for my clothes. it gets the stain out so well and fairly easily. you can get it at grocery stores in the laundry section. it costs about $1.50-2, so not bad. i have sensitive skin. i cant even use tide laundry detergent. i havent had any reactions with using this stuff. i pretreat my clothes with the soap and rinse before laundering with my regular detergent.

Coming in a bit late here, but...

If you have trouble using regular commercial laundry detergents, try this:

1 bar Fels Naphta, finely grated (use a cheese grater)
    1 c. Borax
    1 c. WASHING Soda (Arm & Hammer)

Mix well. Store tightly covered. Add 1 tbsp. (that's ONLY a tablespoon) per average size load of laundry.

Also, you know what makes a great color-safe bleach? Hydrogen peroxide. Mix about a tablespoon with a cup of water and pour it into the wash during the soaking cycle.
