    Default I feel icky.

I feel like shit. I'm supposed to go to work in 5 hours, and i've been resting, drinking tea and taking echinacea and goldenseal to try and kill whatever i have.... but i think it's just stress. My glands are swollen and hurt, I'm dizzy and feel super nauseous and have no appetite. I took a 2 hour nap, but i woke up just feeling worse than when i fell asleep. I really need to work, but i don't want to feel really sick at work or make myself even sicker.

What can I do to feel better in time for work?

    Should I even go?

my instincts are telling me to stay home and rest, but i really need money.

If you can go to the healthfood store and get some Calendular Tea - asap! My brother used to get Glandular Fever all the time... he cannot stand the stuff now But I love it. It takes all the swelling down. It is the shit. Hope you feel better.

calendula tea?? hm... i'll research that.

Does anyone know any good herbs/remedies to balance hormone levels? My hormones have been really wacky, and i think i'm supposed to be getting a period in a week, so i think the nausea might be progesterone-related. I know dong-quai is used for female hormone levels, but i dont know enough about it. Any other things I can do to make me feel normal?? I feel like I have morning sickness and it sucks.

I feel exactly the same as you ATM. I'm hormonal, exhausted, sore throat, I'm gonna watch this thread closely.

Aren't you avoiding food except for certain raw veggies and nut pastes? You might not be getting adequate nutrition. What you describe sounds a lot like anemia or B-12 deficiency.

right now i'm eating all raw veggies/fruits/seeds/nuts/sea vegetables and I'm taking a multivitamin and a b12 supplement, so I don't think it's malnutrition or anemia, esp. because i take prenatals which have a ton of iron- so it can't be anemia.

It's stress and hormone related illness, and it sucks!!!!! I researched dong quai and I'm going to pick some up tomorrow and see if that helps... i'm using a tea tree oil/echinacea/goldenseal/sage herbal spray for my throat but it only works temporarily. ugh. I might just resort to tylenol for my shift tonight to get through it.... i hate tylenol- but it does work.

It might also be the prenatal vitamins. They make me feel queasy and gross if I don't take them with a heavy meal. I can only take one or two of them a week or I get sick.
